Additional Info » In honour of such a great game, I decided to create a map to pay tribute to Emperor Battle for Dune. All players start on their own rock on the sides of the map, with plenty of space to build. There are three ways to get onto each of the rock platforms. Towards the centre, you will find four circular rock plateaus with a Guild Mega Cannon on each, which may be worth capturing, although defending them should prove to be somewhat of a challenge. These four circular rock plateaus must be accessed to reach the central rock platform, on which the palaces of the Atreides, Harkonnen, Ordos, and Guild are waiting to be captured. Ordos will be able to reach this area more easily than the other two houses, as they do not need to access the four circular rock plateaus to reach the centre. Infantry rock and trenches scattered throughout the map should aid in the defense of important locations and routes. When designing this map, the focus was on creativity, and to make the map as interesting as possible. This is the end result, and I hope you enjoy playing on this map as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Additional Info » Twin Capitals II- The Tombs is an adventure to be taken quite seriously. The Capital Cities on Arrakis have just dedicated two large tombs in the name of the lost soldiers in the long struggle over the control of the spice. However, each house treats their dead with different respect and memorial decoration. Which side are you on? A Highliner filled with precious cargo has crashed into a nearby cliff. Gather the crates and lost goods to move ahead in this battle. The Spice Must Flow!

Additional Info » Twisted Canyons is designed for up to eight players, but can be used for solo play. I have set the AI to take advantage of terrain and whatnot. The attention to detail is quite high (99,995 polygons) and there are very few wide open spaces. It is almost impossible to do a mass frontal attack through the narrow canyons, making the planning and control of routes critical. Direct frontal attacks are going to be difficult to issue, and easy to defend against (besides they're boring). The concept of the map is too strongly encourage territory control over resource control. One of the methods of doing this is the placement of several key highgrounds that overlook multiple junctions. While some of these can be held by vehicles, several require infantry. Almost all highgrounds that can be used by vehicles require an air unit to get there (no ramps). This is by design to encourage the use of multiple units types. Since it has come to my attention on various message boards that dust bowls were being abused by certain Ordos players, I have deliberately left them out. This is my first map, and if anybody has feedback or ideas, feel free to email me. Also, if anyone figured out how to make the infantry staircases up the cliff walls I would appreciate their telling me how.

Additional Info » Welcome commander. The Spacing Guild has requested our assistance in a security matter. They have ordered that we send a battalion to protect this sector of Arrakis. We are about 10 thumpers south of the capital of Arrakeen in the middle of the open desert, far away from any assistance or civilization. The quality of spice is high here and the greedy Spacing Guild wants it all for themselves. Since we don't want to lose our shipping privileges with the Guild, your orders are to distroy anyone who is mining spice here. Good luck. This map is identical to the Voodoo Mayhem LAN map except that each player starts on the building rocks instead of the center of the map. If you want the center start map, please download Voodoo Mayhem LAN Map. Good luck and have fun. This map was a collaboration between Voodoodaddy and Duke Davis II.

Additional Info » Good evening commander and welcome to the Mentat's briefing. Long ago, House Atreides, House Harkonnen, and House Ordos claimed for themselves a small, spice rich area about 175 miles south of Sietch Tabr called Wildfire Slopes. Fieriest battles were fought for this part of Arrakis, but no side could destroy their opponents. Eventually the Landsraad High Council called a truce and it was agreed that the three great houses would mine the spice together. Peace reigned and eventually, over time, the spice was mined out of the region. Thereafter, the site was abandoned to the desert. Now, spice has returned to the Slopes. The enemy has landed troops and is in the process of establishing a base at the abandoned sites. Your mission is to do what could not be done before, push the enemy out of this region.
