Or are the admins here the equivalent of internet Nazis?  Every other post is locked, and a topic that is off subject is moved.  I'm jumping from board to board to read all the posts.  That's not cool.   :(

yes, most boards are like that, not just this one.

on most boards, if you say anything against what the Mods want you to say, you are silenced, just like in Nazi Germany.  At least Gob has the decency to not ban people lightly though, unlike most boards where the Nazi Admins will ban you just for having thoughts that they do not think you should be allowed to have.

i'd like to see people be able to say what they want (as long as it is relevant to the topic), and wish the  Mods here would ease up, but relative to most boards I gotta give these guys respect for at least not banning people outright without good cause.

Just kidding, but seriously this place needs order (especially to deter from the fate WW has). If you want to flame someone IM them, there are no restrictions in IMing as far as I know (unless you threaten to kill or commit illegal activities of course). If you want to post something that is your opinion but is against the rules, then your in a pickle. Read the rules, follow them, and you shall ascend into Goben (Gob Heaven)*.

Well part of the problem is people thinking the Emperor forum is the general forum, probably those used to the old WW forums where no one looked anywhere else.

I would rather be more strict and keep away the bad users and for the most part the threads that are locked have a good reason for being locked and the same goes for threads that are moved.

Then you have people thinking the forums are a way to send messages to one person when thats what email or the IM system is for.

And keep in mind this is my board, if I don't want to see something I have all the right to remove it. Other people, I guess Soul Reaver's board is an example, are more then welcome to start up their own messageboard and run it the way they feel it should be run.

I do not know if my opinion matters, but here goes anyway..

I think this forum Gob and Mahdi run is an excellent forum. If you want to post something, post it in the right forum, I don't see any problem there. I've been on several different forums and almost everywhere there is a cry for more different forums.

Gob and Mahdi aren't that harsh in banning people.

I just wish people for once could respect that there is a forum where there aren't many flames/insults.

Again, if you hate the fact that topics are moved or closed, think before you post in which forum it should be in and do not flame/insult people..

We have seen the leniance in this forum... It was a nice forum with serious topics, and now it's a mess, caused by people writing such topics like this at the wrong place. And they are yelling that other people are newbies etc. etc.

Is it really so hard to figure out where a topic belongs?

There are rules everywhere, and you can see in the world what happens without them (or wrong rules).

Gobalopper is doing a great job at this whole message board, and Mahdi also. But I think they are to soft for spammers. But that's my opinion...

I think this forum is cool too and well run. Ok it's not as leniant and sometimes threads get closed i want to post in but hey.. if someone is going to go off on a tangent then the best thing to do is nip the problme in the bud. I think it's a good forum..

The only reason i made my forum in the first place is because i didn't know about this place and Gob was not running the WW forums. People said he was but it turned out he didn't have the power to so he was just sitting back and watching in a way. That's why i made my forums cause things were getting out of hand and we all hated the forums and certain bad users so we split away to make a peacefull community. But these forums here are fine. If we had have come here earlier my boards wouldn't exist for emporer. Gob's doing a good job.

The only things I have to add above what's already been said are the following:

Threads were rarely ever locked before the boards got merged. I'm not denouncing those from WW; I'm saying that once everyone gets used to the way its run, they'll find it works, and the locked threads will stop. Already, the situation is slowly improving.

If you say something the mods disagree with, there is no punishment, unless what you say is offensive or completely offtopic.
