Cyborg
News ;DI've discovered how to render multiple graphic files at once. This takes me one step closer to the mapeditor :)It takes a great amount of time to study this myself. I have no books and no tutorials to follow. Everything I learn is from blind testing.I should now be able to create that mapeditor, but it will take some time. The Unreal Tournament modding contest starts soon, but I will program on this anyway.I haven't worked on this since i had my exams about 20 days ago, so It will be fun to start again. Cyborg
By the way, I would need some help doing the terrain tiles. This is a great amount of work, and it is needed to be done fast. With the tiles done, the engine should be ready for a test maybe today, or if problems are encountered, three to four days. This is only my anticipation, though. Andrew
If you are needing help with any Dune aspects of the game that can be related to the novels/minis/movie; (weapons, vehicles, politics etc) Make a thread in Duniverse and I'm sure we could name some or explain some. (ask what you are needing info on)What time period is this game taking place? pre Muad'dib or post?
Cyborg
I have done very little programming today, but I will see if I can do more tomorrow.

Inoculator9
Looks good Frodo, just perfect those a bit, and we'll use em.
Cyborg
Info about tilesets:Filetype: BMPWidth: 32 pixelsHeight: 32 pixelsDepth: 24 bitThe easiest method is if you send me all tiles in their own file(not like whole tilesets in one bmpfile). This is because I will use a tileprogram I've made to compile the tiles into one bmp file and make a config file. nemafakei
No offence meant, but being colourblind, that looks awful.
Cyborg
I am sorry for those who wanted to see the map editor this week.It takes longer time than expected to write controls such as buttons, listboxes, textboxes and such.I also need to implement them in the ini engine, so the ini commands are loaded when the editor starts.I hope to deliver an early version of the map editor soon. Cyborg
Here is an area tiled with Nema's sand tile:It's very good, but it's looking quite repetitive because of the sand dune in the top left corner.*ADDED*Here's a picture of Frodo's sand tile:And a sand tile I created to test the previous map editor(no, it's not mustard):As you can see, it's hard to create good tilesets. And you may understand why I need some help :)
Inoculator9
I prefer Nema's tile, significantly.
