Now I'm REALLY not trying to spam here, but I've noticed something that could be improved at Fed2k. It doesn't lie withen a line of upgrades or flashier colors, no it hides itself between the very phrasing of our words and wordING.

My suggestion is for everyone to try harder to use full, clear sentences rather then what some are typing nowadays.

Ex - i don thin thats a very good idea. that is my though bu i think i am righ about it.

Imrpovement - I don't think that's a very good idea. It may just be my thought of course, but I feel I am right about that.

Of course I am no grammical wizard myself, but I feel this could be a small, yet great imrpovment to Fed2k. Sometimes I'll look at a post today that is so unclear or so hard to comprehend that I actually have to re-read it several times to comprehend what that individual is trying to state.

Now thats just my opinion, but I think this way we can help better aid Fed2k.

In other words FED2K needs a spellchecker when making posts. It all depends if you're in a rush to type the message. Lately my typeing skills have dropped dramaticaly, like spelling woudl and coudl with letters in wrong spots.

I tried this some time ago...

"Many people here doesn't have english as their first language though"

And many of them have far better language than certain people who have English or a variant thereof.

Those whose first language is English should always make an effort to ensure that their sentences make sense, for the benefit of those who find English more difficult.

There was one before. Many people here doesn't have english as their first language though.

But my first language is english and I still type 'rubbish-like' english as this is used in the 'Pentium 4 era' when you are not typing something that will be marked, graded, or checked. And you just type casually ;)

most people over here can speak normal english

some however tend to slice and dice it and the result is a hard readable english text with sentences like:

i dun typ bad, itz tha you suck at english

or:

i dun no whatcha talkin bout

Fix your own damn spelling errors first. >:(

Flameweaver: i agree, but the first example is just bad typing (kinda funny what you wrote ther ;D )

the second example is just slang...

i wonder if there is a spell checker that can read slang... ::)

Does anyone remember the topic "wear can i git emperor"? It was very funny, and I think it went on for about 1.5 pages about the guy's English skills. The message was something close to:

wear can i git emperor i would lik if sumwun could git it fur me

Yes, I remember that thread pretty well :)

Amazing how that chap could squeeze all those spelling errors into the text he wrote :O

Those who care little about how their posts look like, should know that it is actually fun to be able to find new words, and express your feelings in the exact way you want instead of having to use many sentences to explain what you really are thinking.

Nobody ever say they don't know what Nema is trying to tell them. :)
