I was just visiting some BaK websites, and listening to music...It's sad that I know every tune to BaK game.

I even downloaded like 45mb of mp3s of it.

So far for me Betrayal at Krondor has the best music for me (and best game).

In second would be c&c Red Alert "Hell March".

I dont think they make music like they used to.

What music do you like from games and why?

PS; I LOVE BaK...anyone know where I can aquire Betrayal in Antara or Return to Krondor? (possibly without credit card as I dont have one) Underdogs?

uh oh, im going to listen to the mp3's now for the rest of the day...sigh, good old times.

You can find BaK downloads (music also) at

BaK does have the best music ever, no question

I still need an .ISO version. I have the 3.5 floppy version but the music on that is scaled-back and incomplete. Only the Retail CD-version has the full experience

I wish Sierra would re-release that for Windows :(

yes, BaK is the best video/computer game ever made. It stands Uncontested. Return to Krondor sucks tho, it's not even by the same Developer and it has nothing to do with BaK. It's a bastardization of Feist's work, really. Never heard of that Antara thing.

That's hard for me considering it's sort of mixed.

The best song ever in a game in my opininion is Hellmarch in the Red Alert series. That song kicks ass!

Followed by the Emperor music which I thought was really good to the game.

yeah, i never saw betrayal in antare anywhere :-

well my vote goes to Total Annihilation. Why? I dunno, but that orchestral music with heavy explosions on the battlefield and the incredible action just makes it so intense and perfect.... never experienced anything like it. C&C's Act on instinct, RA's Hell March and Starcraft music do very well too.

I like hte music from baldurs gate 2 WC3 RA1 but I liek just haveing mchammer or some weird 80s misic playing while playing liero because you know you badass when you ninja rope from an enemy and drop tons of spikeballs and you hear "can't touch this" ;D ;D LOL

TA's music is indeed awesome.

I second that. The music from Haegemonia: Legions of Iron is also superb, and the music changes the 'battle' music whenever your forces/planets are attacked in any way.

Dune II has good. As all where Klepacki worked are good. Also very good to hear are tunes from Diablo II, MW2 Mercenaries, Crusader: No Remorse, HoM&M IV... But what I mourn, is that I don't know how to take music from Conflict Freespace! There is the best.

Hell March in Red Alert 2. Love that song , unfortunally they dident put it in Yuris Revenge.

Anybody know where I could get that song? ive looked everywhere.

My fav. game music soundtrack by a country mile is from Magic & Mayhem (music by the Afro Celt Sound System). During the first time I played the first mission, I paused the game to listen to the music ;D

I still listen to the M&M tracks to this very day (Cool game BTW) :)

...Bear in mind this comes from a person who only has (and wants) a handful of music CDs! (3 of them being the Afro Celts) :O :D ... high music CD prices in Aus. might also play apart, but I digress ... :P

As Caid Ivik said Klepacki's work is always good, esp. Dune II and 2000. :D

Gotta love Crusader, TA, IWD, BG2 and Railroad Tycoon II (thanks to the Gob, another game on my pile :P ) as well :D

... prolly some others as well.

I just obtained the .wav music for Bak (507mb which is probably why "The Underdogs" dont have it for download), which sounds excellent when turned up, although the "songs" are not divided into there own files. Which is why you have to listen to them in order with no fading in winamp.

Very good though.

There are '63' (#63 doesn't work for me) files of songs, and one is a guy singing about moredhel for about 20 seconds and is very interesting.

IM me if you want to know how to get them. I know Arohk will be wanting it.

I dont think this is illegal talk (as BaK was freeware but without .wav as I'm sure sierra didnt want 600 mb file downloads), but if a mod thinks so just say so and me edit.

well sure, once i get my ADSL connection.... but now... with 5.0 kb/s.... no way :)

It took me about 5 days to download with cable (not every hour of the day, but I left my computer on at night to speed it up.

I guess I'll be the first to say Halo Music. It friggin' kicks so much butt I bought the soundtrack ;D Seamless change of music depending on the situation makes it perfect, and the gregorian-like chants in the beginning are awesome.

Strangely, Hell March hasn't been mentioned yet... :O

If anyone wants it, IM me and I put it up at my ftp.

It's som of the best game music I have ever listened to.

A techno part in the end that makes it even cooler.

To mention, I like the music in baldurs gate games, unreal tournament 2003(the menu music), Battlefield 1942(or was that the intro? Heck, something was cool in that game, but it wasn't the game itself...) and countless other games I am currently posessing.

CRAP, It seems it has already been mentioned even though I read through the topic atleast half a time before posting >:(

*EDIT*

Please don't tell me to edit my posts instead of posting two posts in a row...

I know it so very well, and I follow that rule. It must be possible to make an exception some times, and I am taking advantage of that.

(I was actually planning on writing a third post with this in it, but I changed my mind in fear of aggressive, conservative members.)
