You're talikng about what USA will do after Iraq??

I wonder if they'll destroy Saddam soon enough to start thinking about another country...

Anyway, the next country in line seems to be Iran. It's close, US Army is in Afganistan and (soon-to-be-but-preferable-not) Iraq, both coutries have borders with Iran. Also USA supported Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war in the 1980s.

And I personnaly support the iraqs. I DO NOT SUPPORT SADDAM, but I think that every country should be left in peace.

You say that USA intervenes in oder to liberate the iraqs people. If the iraqs want freedom, they'll conquer it themselves. We did the same in 1989. People died, but today we're free. And USA did nothing about it, nor for nor against it.

And besides, USA has sent in Iraq )as in Afganistan) 18-19 year old soldiers... not their real army... GOD! They're so poorly trained: they shot down a UK plane, 2 helicopter accidents, the grenade incident, and so on.

They have shown on CNN US soldiers crying 'caouse theit comrades died during the fight.HEY! This is war! Soldiers die! You can't waste time crying. GOD DAMN IT! The USA GUV. has sent in this war teen-agers, children! How can you expect a 19 year old to fight properly, or use an Apache (BTW one crashed and has been captured by the iraqs) if they cry and wet their pants of fear. The soldiers captured by the iraqs seemed like shivering in front of the camera... they were afraid like hell.

When yo start a war, especially this kind of war, you send in tough men, ready to face death and capture with honor, not children that can't control their own emotions! This is starting to look like Vietnam.

For me Iraq is just a waste of lives, both US, UK, Australian, Iraq, kurd and so on...

Acriku: The same damn thing. Torture, assassination of leaders, the Internet provider was destroyed something like December 2002, and so on. This is not in 1950, it's 1980, 1990, 2000 and right now. Maybe that the "civil shields" will make this diminish though... It's as actual as Irak, but just alot worst if we consider the 90s and now.

I was replying to the thread.

If they'll reamain? Surely: look at Afganistan, South Korea, Germany, Japan, etc.

They'll remain, be sure of that.

torture?

no.

assasintaion of leaders? Yes. good thing. it saves lives.

no i think it was the hamas leader. they launched a missle at his car and killed him before he could kill hundreds more innocent people.

and this is bad?

Did I said I was talking about THESE leaders? No. So why are you saying I am talking about them?

I'm talking about pacific/pacifist leaders as well.

Besides, most of Palestinian casaulties are civilians, as same for Israelites probably. 1600 persons put in prison, half are tortured, and all you see is ONE GUY that is terrorist leader? Both sides have armed factions and these factions both shoot the other side, what's surprising to this?

Civilian casualties happen, these aren't atrocities, and not the atrocities you mentioned above. Are you saying that the casualties of civilians were intentional? Pakistani have no uniform for the suicide bombers, they dress in civilian clothing, so it's very difficult for the Israeli to distinguish between enemy and civilian.

I've talked with people in the Israeli army, Shiroko for example, and they give plenty of warning to civilians before they destroy buildings or go in after terrorists. The problem is that at a young age Palestinian children are taught to hate Israeli's and are willing to kill themselves. If a civilian is holding a gun or running at a tank, possibly with a bomb attached to their body, at what point are they no longer civilians?

Israeli's have no problem with Arabs living peacefully among them and there are plenty of examples of this. The problem is terrorists like Arafat would rather see the complete destruction of Israel instead of peace.

Namp I think you would be referring to this clause in the Geneva convention:

© Outrages upon personal dignity, in particular, humiliating and degrading treatment;

I don't think showing Iraqi's that have surrendered is humiliating or degrading. Its not like US soldiers are dancing around them laughing, all they show are soldiers sitting quietly waiting to be moved to POW camps.

Gob, it is quite possible that a resistance exist. But why are Palestinians expulsed? (" Razing Palestinian houses in the search for "Jewish archeological remains" and establishing "nature reserves", later to be converted to Jewish housing ", Chomsky). And if Israel was only defending, would it have killed more CIVILIANS than all the terrorists united?

And what about this kind of stuff:

Amnesty International "estimates 1600 Palestinians routinely arrested by Israeli military forces every year, falf "systematically tortured" " with Supreme Court approval (saying they are too evil, it's the only way).

Acriku: What's "POW"?

Gob: What was proposed to Arafat sometimes was quite demanding... Like to give a part for peace, then war would come when a single terrorist goes crazy and conquest goes on from there.

No. The same should be done to Hussein, Laden, Johng...

Everyone who commits cowardly attacks against civilians and children should be tortured. Would you tolerate if a man came abord your bus so that he minutes later can blow you, your friends, and that pretty girl to death?

Egeides the terrorists live amongst the civilians and in most causes are probably considered civilians by a lot of people for that exact same reason. I'm not saying that everything Israel does has been perfect but I'm certainly not going to defend terrorist groups like Arafat. How can any peace process work when there are still attacks taking place?

At least you finally admitted to your true self, as vile as it is.

Oooh, I'm an evil enemy of the state! Quick, tell the CIA to assasinate me before I spread my vile ideas (and maybe even - *gasp* - cause some loyal republicans to hesitate in following orders). ::)

Emprworm, all I see is a country which showed no sign of aggression for 12 years being invaded by a foreign army. I'm sorry, but I will never fight on the side of such invaders.

And you said you only hated the American Regime. This is a typical proof of hatred for all America.

How does opposing an invading army show hatred for the entire nation from where that army comes from?

If America got invaded like this, I would not hesitate in fully supporting them, and if faced with a choice I would of course fight on their side.

The Palistians do not deserve a country of their own as they have proven that they cannot act properly and with honour. They should go to Iraq where I'm sure they'd be welcomed at the moment. The Israelis have done the best they can to deal with these uncivilised people and it is only fair that the Palistians get treated the way they do after putting the Israelis through so much strees

WHAT?????

Is this guy the only one here who appreciates that civilians emprisoned without an official motive are tortured?!

Dunenewt: So you're accusing an entire population for what is done by a minority? And nothing for Israel that killed even more civilians?

no, you are not an enemy of the state, you are on the side of Saddam Hussein. you are a sad person, Edric, because you speak from such ignorance. you obviously do not have the first clue what kind of man this is you are defending over the US.
