i ate a bad cheeseburgeer :(

last night I grabbed a re-heated cheeseburger from a gas station. i don't usually eat beef- in fact, this was the second time I've eaten beef in like 6 months.

well a mere 12 hours later I wake up this morning feeling horrible. i slump to work anyway. not good. 2 hours later, i was on my way home. as soon as I got home, the fever, the chills, and the puking hit. I was paying homage to the porcelain throne! :( not fun guys. My fever has been steady at 100-101 for the last 10 hours. (i can feel those brain cells dying even now. Acriku might actually win a debate for once! :D ) Poor empy is sick. Sick as a dog. :-[ Now, I don't want any dead pools starting (like bets as to "will empy be alive tomorrow") heh, cuz I know that this is the place where I will get support, and comfort. All my dear, dear, USA-loving FED2K friends!! :D

I still remember the 2 times that i have tried to eat a bigmack menu in 1 of the many mc Donalds in the States. I ate and enjoyed it but after an hour i really felt sick, and had severe pain in my stumach.

Those burgers are way to fat there :'(

I don't recommend getting anything that can go bad or get old at a gas station. I worked at one when I was in high school and some of that stuff sat there for a loooong time. As Ordos45 said its best to cook your own, that way you can put all the seasoning and such in it plus you know it isn't going to be sitting there for weeks.

yeah my fever got ot at 103.6 at about 12:46 pm sunday ! I felt liek a pot of chili!!! :P :P :-[ and then it went ot 102 on monday and went away by wednesday morning I went to school came home btu slept the whole after noon stayed home after doing my project for 2nd period and went ot doctors. she said stay home friday. and no more microwaved hotdogs for me.

It could actually be many things, ranging from just a minor food poisoning bacteria to botulism. But one would know when he has botulism, with the double vision and such.

Well anyways, I think it is really a bad idea to get meat from a random gas station. I would recommend going to a fast food place that actually specializes in those kinds of things. It doesn't reduce your chances of poisoning to 0, but it is decreased sufficiently. At least you would know that most likely your beef is cooked up to the right temperature to kill all the bacteria.

Ouch man! That's always awful, I hope you feel better soon. It happens to all of us, you just have to live and learn I guess.

I ate a bad burger from a Wendy's in Salt Lake City. I thought that it would be fine, seeing as how it comes from the franchised Wendeys, but man I had pukes and the squitters for hours and hours. It was brutal.

Because of that, as a general rule, I don't eat any kind of beef from any kind of fast food place, and even most restraunts. I avoid hamburgers (Oprah agrees hehe) because they're made of a congomerate of all parts of the cow and you don't know what concentration of "the bad stuff" you'll get in your burger. It's too much of a risk, unless you get it from a really reputable place ie the Keg Steakhouse or something.

Keep hydrated, even if you don't feel like eating or drinking anything. When you do feel like eating, stay with bland food for a day or two. Remember, it won't last more than 24 hours.
