When Ubisoft released Silent Hunter 2 and Destroyer Command there were a lot of bugs in the programme and Ubisoft didn't want to know after release. They closed down SSI as EA did to WW.

However the DC SH2 community banded together to create Projeckt Messerwetzer. They got access to the code and with help from a programmer patched the games themselves.

EA/WW won't even release the source to Dune II so I doubt Emperor is going to be any different.

If you wanted the details of PM the people to talk to would be "Onkel" Neals Stevens and Dwayne Doutel.

One thing above all else was important, money.

Dwayne had to take a substantial pay cut while he worked on the code and the campaign for funds was all we saw for months.

The edge of the map bug.

Infantry pits.

Minotaurs walking faster then normal (2 minotaurs 'rubbing' together while walking)

Pathfinding bugs.

Minotaurs firing backwards.

Minotaurs having more range then kobra's.

And much more...

You lose less time when you are making a new game, then when you try to patch that.

I think there is alot of chaos in the code of Emperor, so there it won't be easy to fix things. And then you must have the source...
