Capoiera is awesome, it's where break dancing came from, and I love doing the jinga, my friend taught me it (although I can't do any kicks except perhaps an outer crescent).

So you have knowledge/performed Capoeira Angola. Are you also familiar with the music that regulates the play of the game?

Yeah, a bit. It's in portuguese I believe and one person beats on a beedumbow (that's how it sounds, don't know how it looks) and makes up the words mostly while the two jinga?

Fencing is something I have always admired it has a certain grace to it if i could find an instructor I could learn it. Brazil has a style of martial arts I know people will be familiar with and that is capoeria the other I do not if you guys know anything about and that is Brazilian Jin-Jitsu. Brazilian jin-jitsu is based on judo, sambo, wrestling and various other elements. Aikido is a martial arts style that I have become interested in on a physical health level or peace of mind. It has some of it's basis in Jujitsu and Kenjutsu.

You did not say what part of Brazil you live in, but looking at the member map you look close to Sao Paulo. Well this guy has a club in Sao Paulo:

http://members.tripod.com/~crt_esgrima/

I can't read what it says but this link comes from here:

http://www.fencing.net/clubs/clubs-intl.html

Which is an international list for Fencing clubs. I assume it is a legite listing, but let me know.

Update:

I just tried some of the links on the page linked above and they seem to be broken :( . I guess you could try and email the person and see if they respond. Sorry.

yeah I wish capoeria was taught around here (yeah right.lol) Its actually the brazilian national sport. Its interesting that the slaves in the west indies had to protect themselves and actually took their dances and added mainly kicks to it. It is beautiful to watch. If you see a guy who knows his stuff, you will see mostly evading blows and all around defensive stuff. The martial art packs a punch though.

I will try, altough I never seen such book or a store with shinais. What is a "sensai"? Don't you mean "kensai"? Yes, there aren't much kensais in Slovakia...

I have done Funikoshi Karate Ju Jitsu and Taekwondo.

I have also tried to study Kendo and Ninjitsu on my own, as there are not many decent senseis(SP?) around here.

There is a really cool Kung Fu class that I want to take, but they have a habit of scheduling class att the same time that I got to work, so I cant go.

Any of you have any experiance in any of the martial arts? I actually studied for about 7 years now. 6 or 7. I recieved my first degree in Tae Kwon do, brown in ju jutsu (juijitsu americanized. dumb.lol) and about a year in eskrima, a phillipino double stick art. Pretty cool stuff. How about any of you guys?

A Filipino double stick martial art? I think you mean ARNIS...

And I'd be glad to learn Kendo...

I employ simple kickboxing with a littl bit of jujitsu. It's really convenient because there's a kickboxing club close to where I live. I also lift weights to build quickness and general strength, and it helps for other sports too.

I think I'd like to try Capoeria too. I used to be a pretty hardcore breakdancer (gave it up for other sports). I'd break at lunch and after school every day, it was so much fun, and like Acriku said some of the moves come from Capoeria. It's actually quite diverse in its spectrum. It borrows from gymnastics, too, and I know of one common move called the swipe that was originally part of an African tribal dance. It builds a lot of agility which has helped me in other sports. If Capoeria is half as good, I'd highly reccomend it.
