Bleh, Sards suck in Dune2000. They're so weak that two infantry men (=100 solaris) can take one down, while they are supposed to be able to take down 10 regular soldiers.

well fedaykin could as well, if he is lucky enough to see enough light infantry lined up. Sard elites would not pull it off, but elite sardaukar elites and elite sardaukar would as well yeah.

Hey, I though sards carry guns as well as rocket launchers and fire the appropriate weapon when told to attack a unit. But I've only seen them use guns. Why?

About the Sard thing, the manual says that Sards carry mines on their bodies (silly twits) so they damage verhicles when they're driven over.

Or maybe there is something you gotta do so that the get their HHRLDs (bazookas) out, quite like the double clicking you gotta do to make saboteurs invisible.

well, perhaps, but i don't think so considering that the manual says that the sardaukar automatically changes weapon based on the circumstances

Sardukar vs Infantry types = Guns. Sardukar vs Vehicle types and Buildings = Rockets. If you don't get this on your game, something is wrong. It has always worked correctly for me.

The only way this can happen is if Dune2000 has many versions. I've played Dune2k in 3 people's houses and each had bought Dune in diff. parts of India. North, East and South, to be precise. The sards used m.guns in all the Dune2ks. So, maybe you get one version in India and another in other places.

Don't forget, 3 people buying 3 Dune cd's from different extremes of the 7th largest country and all having the same type of sardaukar sure must mean that this thesis isn't all that probable.

no, if what mecha is saying is true, it must be a version thing. Perhaps only new dunek2 version have it right. but i haven't seen it
