Flooding, easily.

5. What is commonly added to salt before it is sold as table salt?

?

6. If you drilled a tunnel straight through the earth, so that it passes directly through the center and out to the other side, and then fell in, what would happen? (assume you are shielded from any heat/gasses outside the tunnel and can breathe normally)

You would oscillate in ever-decreasing amplitude, starting from the diameter of the earth. (position/time graph like sine graph)

7. If you were suddenly teleported into space without a suit, what would happen, and would you explode?

You would suffocate, and your internal organs would be dragged out your orifices, at least. Your blood pressure will probably also cause hufe nosebleeds etc.

8. Why does Australia have summer in December and the US have summer in July?

Because they're on different hemispheres.

9. If a flatbed semi was moving 60 KPH down the freeway with his ramp down, and you drove up behind him at 65 KPH in a BMW, and drove up his ramp, what would happen?

I would try and work out what a flatbed semi was, and hope it had a ramp.

10. What word or expression is represented below:

GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GET, GET, GET, GET

forgive and forget?

11. Translate the following into a meaningful phrase :

Anything with nuts in, if you have such an allergy?

16. Where does silk come from?

Silkworms

17. Why does a rubber ball bounce higher than a steel ball?

Because rubber is elastic - it has long carbon-chains with crosslinks. Steel is crystalline.

18. What makes cheddar cheese orange?

Mould, I should expect. It's supposed to be pale yellow

19. Does the cocoa bean grow on the same plant that produces cocaine?

No.

20. When you eat a piece of orange candy, and read that it is artifically flavored, even though it taste like orange, what is making it have the orange flavor?

1. Do peanuts grow above ground or underground?

Above ground

2. Does popcorn actually come from corn-on-the-cob?

Yes

3. In basketball, how high is the basket rim from the ground?

2.5 Metres ???

4. What kills more people annually: lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding

Lightning

5. What is commonly added to salt before it is sold as table salt?

No idea

6. If you drilled a tunnel straight through the earth, so that it passes directly through the center and out to the other side, and then fell in, what would happen? (assume you are shielded from any heat/gasses outside the tunnel and can breathe normally)

You would stay suspended at the centre of the Earth.

7. If you were suddenly teleported into space without a suit, what would happen, and would you explode?

You would die, and freeze instantaneously. I don't think you'd explode, no.

8. Why does Australia have summer in December and the US have summer in July?

This has to do with the Earth's tilt on its' axis as it orbits the Sun. In December, the Southern Hemisphere is getting more direct sunlight due to the Earth's tilt, and the Northern Hemisphere is getting less direct sunlight, and vice versa.

9. If a flatbed semi was moving 60 KPH down the freeway with his ramp down, and you drove up behind him at 65 KPH in a BMW, and drove up his ramp, what would happen?

You would slide up and down the ramp, but never be able to actually get inside the semi. (I've never heard of a 'flatbed' semi, but anyway). :P

GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GIVE, GET, GET, GET, GET

You get what you give.

12. Some months have 30 days, some have 31; how many months have 28 days?

All of them.

13. I have as many brothers as sisters. My brothers have twice as many sisters as brothers. How many of us are there?

Infinite possibilities

14. What is the 6th planet from the sun?

Saturn (My favourite!) :D

15. Name any popular prepared single-serving non-meat food, that if eaten exactly how it is served, could make you sick and cause harm.

Spent too long on this one. Couldn't think of anything. ???

16. Where does silk come from?

Silkworms. Silkworms spin the silk.

17. Why does a rubber ball bounce higher than a steel ball?

Rubber has more elastic capability than steel. Therefore it loses less kinetic energy than the steel ball when it hits the ground, while the steel ball converts the original kinetic energy into heat and sound energy, rather than preserving the kinetic. ???

18. What makes cheddar cheese orange?

Food colouring.

19. Does the cocoa bean grow on the same plant that produces cocaine?

Yes ???

20. When you eat a piece of orange candy, and read that it is artifically flavored, even though it taste like orange, what is making it have the orange flavor?

The artificial flavouring.

Note: I did not look at anyone else's post, only the first post in this thread to see what it was about, nor did I look up anything on any search engine.
