ok, here's 1 for house harkonen:

1. in most games you must start with this bo: contruction yard >> windtrap >> baracks >> factory >> refinery start with this bo if its lower then 10,000: contruction yard >> windtrap >> baracks >> refinery >> factory

2. after you've got the baracks up make 1 scout for each buildable corner of the map (there are exceptions!) send them there by clicking on the map in your radar.

3. while the scouts are scouting the maps make 2 light infantry's per entrance in your base (except if its an small entrance, or an big one)

4. while your placing those light infantry's to their entrances your factory is ready to be deployed, deploy it.

5. build 6 buzsaws, then 1 assault tank 6 buzsaws then 1 assault tank etc but don't do this too much early game because you might run out of money before you got the refinery up.

6. while your doing step 5 build mass light infantry, again watch out how much you buy because you might run out of money (if you want to end him quick upgrade your baracks after you've done step 3, build 1 engineer then lots of light infantry, take the engineer with your assault and take over an contruction yard! VERY deadly!)

7. take the 2 groups outside your base and mix them up, yes you heard that right, it'll make your opponent having an tougher time killing your tanks because he has to micromanage more.

8. your refinery must be ready by now, deploy it, go to the upgrade tab and upgrade it twice.

9. now its time to rush, do NOT turtle because it'll make the job much harder, let your mixed group walk in formation (j) to your opponent, give your engineer an different number and let him walk some distance AWAY from the action.

10. punch an hole in their defences, take over an con. yard, i forgot to say that you should have an flameturret ready when you take over the con. yard, deploy the turret close to the factory (or baracks) and use it to help your assault tanks do NOT attack buildings with light infantry or buzsaws, instead let them protect your assault tanks/turrets against his alle (if he has any)

always try to counter your opponent's units example: if he has mass minotaurs ready to attack you make some advanced carry als (upgraded hangar) and devastaters (starport unlocks that units) drop the devastaters next the minotaurs and watch the fun.

do NOT try to kill an group of minotaurs with buzsaws, minotaurs own light vehicles and infantry!

The most important Q is, do you have the testicular fortitude to quit under 3 or not? If so, you are free to be creative with your BO's for maximum surprise effect (works great for me, I hit them early how they are not expecting me too because I don't use a conventional BO). If you do *not* have the testicular fortitude to quit under 3, you are pretty much stuck getting a Fac first, otherwise if your enemy does and attacks you fast, you're dead.

You should know that the testicular fortitude necessary to quit under 3 can be obtained by a process called "castration". ;D

In other words, only crybabies and cowards quit under 3.

When you've dropped a few Devastators at the back of the Minotaurus group, send Missiles, Assault or basically everything you've got at it.

you don't need it, minotaurs will aim at the carry's first (they'll hit some AFTER they dropped the devastaters) some will rise again and the minotaurs will keep aiming at'em, letting the devastaters do their job!

I agree with Devastator_Mech there. What sort of an Atreides player would do nothing while his Minotauruses aim at the Advanced Carryalls that they can't shoot? There are likely to be drones in the area anyway.

Not true. The Air Drone's speed and armour have been decreased since the 1.09 patch was released, but they can still outrun the slow heavy missiles of a Gunship. I wiped out a Gunship that was attacking my Air Drone once, simply by flying directly away from the Gunship with my Air Drone, while the Gunship was heading straight for my Air Drone, and firing backwards.

I could really god damn tell your a newbie, if the carryall is being shot at, they'll usually be destroyed, and you think the Devastator will still be alive?

it takes about 2 mino rounds to destroy an carry al, and they're not all shooting at 1.

and about the newbie thing, i got 9+ months of experience and you?

Theres group of mino in front, and you think only 1 mino will shoot at it?

I played that games about 1 years, but not continuously throughtout the year.

Believe me Devastator_Mech, ken124578 is NOT a newbie. I've played him before (but that was when I was a newbie), and he's not bad. However, I have been hearing stuff from some friends at WOL that he's getting beaten more often now. :P

Newbies are often more soft spoken, and they don't try to preach tactics to people. What kind of a newbie tells people how to lose in battle? If you're new, you're inexperienced, and therefore not very credible (i.e. you can't really talk), it's as simple as that. ::)

Tactics take time to learn and master. You have to have played online for some time before you can really be credible enough to give advice. Now I'm not telling anyone whether they should be preach tactics or not, but you're more likely to get people listening to you if you have some credibility and you can prove it. I mean, look at emprworm. He is very well respected. He is also a KICK ASS player. ;)

Tactics are not entirely common sense. There are varying ways to kill your enemies and counter their attacks. They may not be apparent unless you give it some thinking. You obviously don't play online, otherwise you would not be saying that not many people have common sense. Do you really think people in general are that weak?!?! ???

ixianmace: i lose a lot nowadays? i didn't played emp. for an month, well.. only once...

and about the credits, i once could've killed emp. if his allie didn't showed up to save him.

i once heavily damaged elite (no more army) but couldn't kill him because i was busy dealing with emprworm which was also attacking me, this went on for an few games.
