Worst book you've ever read?

A book from a Dutch author called Boudewijn Buch. The book is called "Dolhuis". I didn't even finish it, so it's one of only two books sofar I havn't read through.

The same author has written "De Kleine Blonde Dood" to, but I liked that one.

With English books I started to read "Sphinx" ones but never finished it, this mainly because I misplaced it somewhere at the airport. But it wasn't that bad.

People read books, in this day and age? Whatever for. Books are obsolete and ancient technology. Get with the times, man.

People read *bad* books? That's even worse.

Anything (and I mean anything) by Shakespear. I can't stand how people analyze his crap trying to find hidden meanings in the nonsense he writes. There's a reason you can't understand a damn thing he says, and there's a reason he wasn't appreciated in his own time.

Yeah, Shakes was a big "S" ! (Like Earedil's good buddy!) I'll leave it at that lest Gob starts getting mad at me.(ps Des Eagle, I can out-articulate you and almost anyone else on this board or anywhere in life in general for that matter, even if I was deprived of sleep for several hours AND drunk at the time{even though I don't drink}) LOL

I remember reading "Lord of the Flies" when I was 10 or 11 and hating it. I don't remember much about it, other than that I stopped reading it because its plot consisted of stranded children slaughtering each other.

Different per language. In dutch, it were all books of Leonie Kooiker I read(2)

In German it was Atlantis. And I wasn't allowed to stop reading. Cause it was for schoool aaah.

And in English it was maybe 1984.

You thought 1984 was the worst book you've ever read in english?

True, I think it's over-reated (way to many plot holes and seems like two books compresssed into one, to be great) but the atmosphere it creates, the prose, the characters...

Farenheit 451 is bad, very bad. The author goes off for several pages in rambling metaphors. the only good part of the book is the afterword, which of course has nothing to do with the plot.

hey Fahrenheit 451 was awesome. Dont say bad things about the master, ray bradbury. He is one of the ultimate writers of science fiction. I would have to say the worst book I have read was a play called Galileo. It tried to follow his life and well... just really failed in that.lol
