User Cleanup

Currently there are over 650 users with 0 posts. I will be doing a cleanup and removing most of them soon.

The basis will be if the user has 0 posts, hasn't logged in for a week, and has been here for more then a month.

But this reduces the member number, I thought you wanted more, but, makes sense, they do waste space.

You could already start with the members with 0 posts, and registered on the old board.

And I see there is a Kwisatz Haderach (2), I registered as Kwisatz_Haderach (it don't need to be me) before timenn, but things didn't worked, so I took timenn, and after that I deleted KH, I'm sure :)

Well its good to have lots of members but if people aren't using their accounts they are just taking up space.

Well, you those aren't with that much, it are the zeroposters (new word :)) who are with the most

I might do a more detailed cleanup later on but for now this is it. The only problem with doing the last logged in approach is that since the board is new all that was reset. So it wouldn't really be fair to just reset anyone who hasn't logged in.

It only will affect users more than a month old, or something like that, he said it in the beginning.

It ended up being 611 but there will be a more comprehensive cleanup later. This one was for anyone who had 0 posts and had registered before June.

But people with more than 50 post and wasn`t be on board 5 months becouse they couldn`t, wouldn`t be very happy then. ;)

You can't just do that. It's about people who registered without doing anything, people with 1 or more posts, registered so they could post, because guestposting is disabled

We have cleared out 60% of our members; that's enough for now. Anyway, no-one will be deleted unless necessary, except perhaps people with post counts in single figures. So stop worrying.

Anyone with more then 10 posts shouldn't worry and there would be advance warning anyhow.

If any users cannot log in due to their own problems, and find themselves deleted, they can just make their name again. It isn't hard.

What are the problem?

If you give them warnings look out for emergency "Spam-Posting", if someone try to keep their logon!

and how old are this board?

Are the first 10 members Landsraad?
