But I don't think you can make the face dancer like that. Units can't just change what they are in game.

actually i think he can, i think what he is thinking of doing is giving the face dancer a resource = unit(i.e: IMSardaukar). But I don't know how you would make it change into more than one unless you listed multiple names and it would be random?

Frodo is right but it won't be random. The player will be able to cycle through the units the Face Dancer can become

I thought you were meaning it actually changes into the enemy, not just scrolls them. Otherwise. You can have whichever unit is the most powerful for the same price.

I really dunno what you have understood (perhaps you have understood correctly)

The Face Dancer is a unit that, though his appearence doesn't change, can adopt the characteristics of some of the enemy units.

I see, I think I know how you will do that. I geuess it will be things likie speed, or special abilitys, not actually anything unfair.

He will have the weapon, speed, health, armour, name and the other basic characteristics of the unit he has transformed too.

I 'm also going to make the mod as close as possible to the books. Spice blooms will be devastating for units... a lasgun beam will BURN an infantry... shields will drive worms into a killin frenzy etc

Will bullet/apds/rocket units be weak against shields?

They will not harm shields at all. Each house will have a special anti-shield unit.

Great. I take it that chemicals, gas etc can hurt shields, since they diffuse across (If they didn't, breathing inside a shield would be difficult...)
