Hey guys, I've played the game for a while, and I beat the Atreides campaign, and am quite far into the Ordos, but I have a problem. I have never found a mission that even had to do with the guild, and they sound like it would be fun to Ally with them! If it helps, I am currently allied with the Ix, Imperial Sardukar, and Fremen. Thanks to all who reply!

You can ally with the Guild, sort of. If you can take the Guild Palace with an engineer you can use both of the guilds units in the last mission.

Note: The other enemy units will not like this and they will start an almost none stop assault against the palace. So, guard it well.

i tried enabling the guild mega cannon, but 4 sum reason when u put it down it just sits there. it dont even raise upwards 2 fire or turn around :(

The only good thing about the guild mega cannon is selling it,

because it takes too much power & it hardly does any damage-

-and it takes way too much time to fire also.

it worx now and it rox, it mite take loadsa power, but u can take out newhere on the map with it, even enemy buildings. ;D they also dont take up ne power if u set powerusage = 0. :P

The mega cannon is only good against massed groups of stationary infantry from extreme range. I will kill massed groups in a single hit. However, the best thing about the guild is the NIAB tank. Makers are almost an afterthought.

Actually they can't.  ;D

Makers are totally crap.

It costs 1000! God damn, just build 3 trikes and I'll bet the 3 trikes will be more effective in infantry killin'.

The NIAB tank is kewl but I almost never have seen one yet in multiplayer... Everyone seems to choose Fremen & House IX  :-/

So much for diversity...

Btw,

The only "good" use for a Maker is to put one in your spice field and let it do nothing, since a Guild maker will keep worms away. (So it won't attack your harvesters...)

Perhaps that's why they are so expensive.  ???

I've got it!

If a maker can get close to a building, its large spread will do lots of damage, coupled with the fact that it uses the Howitzer warhead which is good vs infantry and buildings.

NIABs have their own weaknesses.  They are poiwered down directly after teleporting for a few seconds, during which time they can be easily destroyed...if spotted.
