Yeah but if your against Ordos some mortar troopers,kobras,an Eye in The Sky aircraft,30 dust scouts,some laser tanks and tons of infantry Atreides could be taken down easily. :P    (I'm a supporter of Atreides but thats a fact)

Don't forget Saboteurs. With only a couple of Snipers, saboteurs could get close due to long reloading time for Snipers. Same with Chem Troopers. But a Kobra is best for dislodging Atreides Infantry positions on Infantry Rock.

With Harkonnen, Inkvine means doom to such positions. Flame tanks (and Buzzsaws if you don't have Infantry Rock) can also take down shallow Kindjal formations, with a few casualties though.

Then you can think about Sub-houses: Fremen, Sardaukar, Infiltrators, Contaminators (only against Kindjal positions with very few Snipers/Light Infantry), Guild Makers (if they can get close enough without dying to Kindjal - quite easy if you allow casualties or decoys).

Basically said, infantry alone can be wiped out with numerous methods. No position is invincible but mixing vehicles (and air units) with Infantry can help.

I have never seen/used contaminators even against lone kindjals. The most useless unit in the game(except perhaps the NIAP flyer)

Contaminator: Tleilaxu antipersonnel-only bioweapon that replicates by infecting its victims.  Instant-kill melee attack only.  Rarely seen in online play - two to four Buzzsaws/trikes/dust scouts will put paid to this headache.  However, in the campaigns you can be guaranteed that they will have Leeches (discussed at length elsewhere) for company.

All Tlielaxu, however, are owned by air-defense platforms...

you really need to have maybe 10 kindjal, 15 snipers, 10-13 mongeese, 7-10 minos, 5+ sonic tanks on overlooking cliffs, 5-8 thopters, 25 scouts, and in my opinion 10-20 fedaykin and alot of projected enemy units, especially projected laser tanks against the ordos because the projected laser works just as well as a real laser. substitutes fedaykin with saurds and projected saurds

Ok, i was under the impression that guild had NO air units in the emp game.  Are you talking about an AI mission??

Yes it is an unit of a Campaign Mission. And it is just an unit to decorate the mission. So it won't count for real units...

And about the Atreides defense, they are good. But very immobile...
