  1. Behold, badges and color guides for GDI and Brotherhood of Nod forces. All the colors are from the GW-approved palette, but since their names escape me at present, I've noted instead their R / G / B values (yes you can input the numbers in the army painter). GDI: *Primary: 158 / 134 / 65 *Secondary: 108 / 93 / 61 *Trim: 158 / 134 / 65 *Weapon: 70 / 70 / 70 *Eyes: 100 / 39 / 29 Brotherhood of Nod: *Primary: 70 / 70 / 70 *Secondary: 70 / 70 / 70 *Trim: 148 / 41 / 44 *Weapon: 70 / 70 / 70 *Eyes: 100 / 39 / 29[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  2. And here's a shot just for the Star Wars fans out there...[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  3. As for EBFD badges (no banners yet) you can find a .zip of them earlier in this very thread.
  4. And speaking of finished versions... Not only have I finished the proper Cobra banners, but I'm packaging them, along with the appropriate badges and color schemes, for the enjoyment of the DoW community. Enjoy![attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  5. Went and forgot the actual banner prototype; here it is. The finished version is supposed to be transparent.[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  6. No problem; here you go... Actually, here are several: two versions of the basic Cobra logo, the grey/silver one that goes with the 'Siegie' color scheme, the flaming logo that featured on a T-shirt at Hot Topic, the 'bio-war' version, and the Cobra/Decepticon melded logo made by Devil's Due to advertise the new G.I. Joe/Transformers xover. Bonus: Sardaukar banner; the kanji here are 'strength' and 'honor'. This is not transparent; my Sard color scheme uses a dark brown (RGB notation: 82/73/63) for everything except the eyes (100/39/29) and weapon (70/70/70).[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  7. And here's to Relic giving serious consideration to DoW expansion packs. Today's contribution: a shot of assorted Cobra infantry in the old-school livery watching orbital bombardment put an end to a Chaos Lord and his entourage (Nurgle's Death Guard). At left is my first attempt at a banner; the kanji read 'strength' (top-left) and 'victory' (bottom-right).[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  8. Behold, logo sets, ready for use as custom badges in Dawn of War or Homeworld 2.
  9. On a 1v1 map, a brave but ultimately doomed Toxo-Viper commander tries to hold the line against overwhelming numbers of Bene Tleilax - including their lord (harder AI). Especially unfortuitous, given that 'assassinate' is one of the victory criteria in this skirmish. Bene Tleilax badge, as well as one for the Sardaukar, included gratis.[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  10. Well, I finally got to see the Khaine 'soldier-kabob' move... Yes, the game has dawned on stores everywhere; here's my first screen from it: a Sardaukar force commander and his squad watching ortillery lay waste to a Chaos stronghold. "Death from above", indeed.[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  11. The Nine Tiger Dynasty soldier in this shot has decided to be somewhere other than in the force commander's immediate vicinity, quick. A wise decision, considering what happened to his comrade...[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  12. Here're a pair to get you started...[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  13. Yes, there is - in fact, DoW and HW2 share the same specifications for custom badges - they have to be 64x64 24-bit uncompressed .tga files, placed in the 'Badges' subdirectory - so all your HW2 badges can be imported into DoW, no sweat. And as you probably know, there are several threads in the Relic forums about HW2 badges... And here're some more screenshots: *Delta attack - squad of marines using the 'Delta Force' color scheme showing intelligence by using fire as an aid to the attack (Sun Tzu 12:13) *UBCS at work - yep, that infamous corporation's clean-up crew... wouldn't be so out of place if Tyranids were in the game, but still cool *Dreadnought toss - you know that's gonna leave a mark... *Swing for the fences - Mantis Clan (a faction from Legend of the Five Rings) force commander doing exactly that.[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
  14. Rejoice, then, for BitTorrent is your friend: .torrent file
  15. Well, here're my contributions to the 'pic-heavy' part of the thread. These are actual shots from the demo, showing my 'Delta Force' troops in action: *relic00000: scout/snipers secure a critical point under covering fire from marines. *relic00001: two marine squads, sporting four heavy bolters and as many missile launchers between them, lay waste to the OPFOR stronghold *delta-notest: 64x64 24-bit uncompressed .tga file to be placed in the 'Badges' subdirectory[attachment archived by Gobalopper]
