Well, I only made it brief and I didn't want to make it seem it seem automated, so I just wrote this:

I would just like to welcome you to Fed2k, and guide you over to this topic, which is a welcome post for all new members.

But, yeah, it does need changing.

Well, the lack of new users posting here is rather disappointing. I'll leave this thread as a sticky until the end of April, but if new users don't start posting in it in decent numbers by then, I'm downgrading it to a regular forum thread. Then if we still see no effect by the end of May, Newt should stop sending out the IMs.

Maybe to post?

Most people are looking for something when they turn up. Say online Emperor, or information on Dune, or even just a relatively mature community. One does not just join these things with no good reason.
