I thinks it's safe to label it hardware for the Thermaltake big water cooling system Spicy. That thing is practically a frickin air-conditioner.  8) I didn't notice, but what type of power supply are you using for that setup? It looks awesome just by itself...Thermaltake is top notch cooling anyway.

I liked the disclaimer about do not ingest the anti-freeze. ;D

yes they are not soft.. but lots of other things can be called

hardware.. like ure  fridge/tv/washing machine/ex...

i think pc hardware is the stuff inside ure pc case whith are used by ure os  not the things out side it... whitch can be

called Accessories

Just bought myself this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813138027

Thing is absolutely amazing. Freaking great overclock board. Transferred my stock heatsync over, applied thermal paste and the temp dropped from 40C on my previous board to 30C on this. Overclocked on the stock with my 4200+ from 2.2 to 2.7 and went up to 41C.

Hell, the manual even has about eight pages out of 40 explaining how to OC every part.

Also picked up these beauties:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145590

Thinking since I have 64-bit Pro that why not go to the full four GB and get every bit of them -- as its 32-bit Pro/Vista counterparts can't detect the full 4GB.

Also, replaced my stock PSU with this:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817189003

Have an OC'd 7950GT that needed some breathing room. That baby is cheap and high-quality. Increased my FPS in FEAR by 15-20.

Lmao, so I transferred all my parts over onto the new board but somewhere in the process the Audigy 2 got fried. I was pissed off because I had to finally find myself using a Realtek AC97. Funny thing is that it actually for the most part sounds better on my 5.1 than the Creative did. No drop in FPS, either.

I was going to wait for the next nvidia gpu (89xx) but it looks like this will take w while longer. they just found "evidence" of a new geforce 8800 ultra in the drivers so I guess this will be the first step to adjust performance to the performance of the upcoming new ati card.

so maybe I will just buy the 8800 gtx soon - but I haven't decided yet.

not particularly pc-hardware but as it is connected to the pc and will be used most of the time with the pc I will post it anyway...

so I just ordered this:

it's a 32" lcd-tv  :)

I wanted to buy a much bigger (46"/47") with full hd resolution but I decided to buy this one, because I want to save the money for a bigger screen until they are even bigger than now (~70") but cost the same then like current 46" screens. also I then want this big screen to have backlight led technology which is pretty expensive right now.

so I will wait until I have emigrated  :)

the samsung I ordered now will be put to good use in the bedroom then.

I got my lcd-tv on friday. everything works fine. I connected everything with the pc too...

now the next thing to get will be geforce 8800 (gtx or ultra), maybe in april (the ulra version is currently supposed to be launched together with the midrange 8600)...

Can't really have too many MX1000 mice :D Great products... Mine seems to be diminishing power quicker though, albeit not a big problem.

I got a LCD flat panel, it's nice. Can't believe I lasted 8 years on a huge CRT! Never again..

I know! going from a huge 19inch CRT to a 20.1inch LCD widescreen is amazing. Perfect for watching videos. Saw an LG 22 inch at a store. It looks soo much bigger than my 20.1 inch.  :O

And the 22inch is $70 more than the 20.1. (only $20 more if you compare it to the 20.1 inch price 4 months ago).

I had a MX1000 before. it broke so I sent it back to amazon and they gave me back my money because the mouse isn't manufactured anymore  :'(

so I got lucky that I got the first one I ordered. hopefully the second one will arrive soon too. today my a4 laser mouse arrived. nice thing but can't replace the well-shaped MX1000

My pc is a bit of a mixed bag when it came to choosing parts..

socket 939 is looking like AGP these days.. not good

anyway  atm im running on a

CPU: AMD 4200x2 @ 2.976 (stock vcore 1.35)

Ram: 2x512 Corsair Twinx -c2 400 @2.5-3-3-6-1T (2.7v) (getting another pair of 512/1g soon)

Board: Abit KN8 Ultra (wanted the asus A8N preferbly)

Sound: Creative X-FI Xtreme Music (Eax 5.0 is naic)

Video: Sapphire X1950pro 256M Pcie

Keyboard: Logitech G15

Mouse: Logitech Mx 510 + G5 (+hyperglides)

Mouse Pad: Icmat2nd Edition Black (with silicon Spray)

Girl Pad: Logitech Rumblepad 1+2

Noob Stick: Logitech Force 3d Pro

Sound Out: Sennheiser Hd-212Pro(headphones) Logitech x-530(cheapo 5.1)

Monitor: Samsung 940B Black 19" Tft

Next up most likely 2x Western Digital Raptors and raid them up, and a biggish half assed sata drive of sorts, likely a seagate 350G Sata...

then can all my current pata drives and throw them in my old 3200-64

put some ice on my cpu so i can kick its ass a bit more..

Then another 2x512 or 2x1024 corsair twinx(i think i should keep them 1 in the same tho :/ )

and ill get a Logitech g5 mouse to complement my g15 keyboard......then ill get a kik ass screen of sorts....  by then its time to move on upto a new board cpu ram vcard etc lol

btw gun, why would you want to  'upgrade' to a Am2 soc?

ddr2 is hopeless atm with its high latencies,  not to mention u cant always go all out on ddr2 800mhz on 'any' amd cpu...  for instance the fx 67 gets smoked by a am2 5700x2 coz the fx clocks the ram at 750  ::)  wierd,  but if  its just the getting parts dealio..i hear ya mate...

thought id add the peripherals to it as well for good measure, but id like some ideas for a screen, im not going all out on it tho..  just the features, so maybe a close 500au could do it?    btw im not really fussed over Lcd screens, even tho i still prefer Crt for gamage, we gotta move up sometime  ,  any ideas?

the raptor is one of the best investments I have made. the price is high but it's absolutely worth it. it gave my system such a boost and I really noticed how in many situations not my cpu (which is quite powerful) but my hdd was the bottleneck. if you are going for a raid 0 you'll probably be amamzed by the difference compared to now. addionally tune your windows with nLite and you'll get one hell of a fast system  ;)

my current system-setup:

You created a PDF just to post that. :P

O, and btw you know a recent Slashdot study showed that those 3CD's are not what's left of the internet after you take out the 1% ;)

veK, you are buying an MX1000 so why are you "stuck" with the A4 mouse ?

Why not just use the MX1000 ? Or are you joking that you are getting it as they dont make it no more ?

Right now what is a good reasonable mouse to buy ? I have gone form my crappy but expensive MS Bluetooth wireless doorstop/paperweight to a standard cheapo wired mouse as it is lighter for gaming and therefore easier to use but want to get something that will make it easier to kill people like scar and madenod, and also just be nicerer to use  ;)

Is the MX1000 still available from some places ?

@ erjin:

- I had 1x mx100 @ home. it broke and I couldn't get another one. so I bought the a4 because it is cheap but very good. unfortunately it doesn't fit my big hand too well, but technically speaking it's a very good mouse (uses same laser as logitech g5 but even gets more out of it)

- I received 1x mx1000 @ work but the shop which delivered it doesn't have another one for me @ home

- I ordered 1x mx1000 @ a different shop but just a few minutes ago I received an email that they also don't have any more of them. so now I ordered it  again some place else which is my last hope for getting another mx1000 for my pc @ home

btw: post 1.000 - just 9.000 to go *lol*

depends on what you want. the best hardware in it won't be good enough if the mouse is uncomfortable. mx 1000 is definitely the mouse that fits my hand the best. ever. but there are a klot of good mice out on the market, you should just test them. try the logitech g5, logitech mx1000, ms intelli explorer 3.0 (revived), ms habu, razer diamondback, razer deathadder, a4tech 750bf or something completely different at all...

I have the MS IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth 5 Button mouse thing and its way too heavy and thats why I use my cheapo wired mouse, its much easier on the hands after hours of gaming, and more responsive, I feel.

Posted

the mx1000 is rather big and a bit heavier. also it is wireless though the technology is working great and there's no difference in counterstrike between the wireless mx1000 and the mice with cable I used to play with or test.

but maybe you should try something else then... I gave you a few names, just google for pictures and reviews and try how they fit your hand at a local store.
