Big D
Don't you just hate it when you place a building, and it won't fit were you intended to put it.Additional space required! The base is under attack!Carryall under attack! That woman drives me nuts! Dante
I was recently thinking the same thing myself. Every so often she'd say 'unit, lost. Unit, lost. Unit, lost.' Bloody woman hardly shut up throughout the entire game, since the AI seemed to have a fetish for throwing chaos lightning at my stolen stipers. erjin999
Best way to deal with her is to start winning. She gets quiet, especially if she sees a slaughter :P
Dante
The loss of a few snipers was not a defeat, it was to stop the chaos lightning going somewhere more important, like my numerous walls of kobras. :P Nevertheless, this blasted woman took pleasure from my irritation. Megashrap
Heh it could be worse like in zero hour were they actually taunt and laugh.only thig I hate hearing from her is "One of our buildings has been stolen by the enemy".
Big D
yah that one is really annoying."leech larvae detected""unit contaminated"
Dante
She never said that when they stole my construction yard in another game. >:( Wretched woman enjoys my pain...
erjin999
When I hear the woman being so calm when saying "Atriedies structure has been taken over by an enemy engineer" or whatever house it makes me feel like I want to give up, andusually at that point mentally I do. She is soooo calm about it.Thisis big poo when someone tkaes over one of your buildings, and she is so calm. The other things like leeches, ok, they are not the end of the world, but it could be your conyard engineered. Man that gets on my mamories. :P
nemafakei
I still prefer the AI in Z, who would start abusing you if you were losing. Come to think of it so did the robots. And they got impatient when you were winning. House-specific ones (D2k onwards) are also good fun.
veK
in my opinion there should be some settings in emperor where you can control the messages. because I think some are quite necessary but others are not and so everyone could decide on which actions he will get a calm notice from the computer or not. building takeovers for example are important and some unit losses maybe too, but I dpn't need a "unit lost" notice for every infantry soldier that dies in battle... erjin999
She does talk sense though, when you lose units, you ned to know...
Dante
It would be more useful if she told us where they were being lost, or opened up a mini-window or something. I for one get tired of scanning the map every time she says 'unit lost' looking for something that's died.
ps501
yeah, maybe a "massive hoard of minos you've not been watching, because you've been distracted at your buddy's base, is at your base" not that that would be particularly useful, per say. desertway
Or instead of sayin "unit lost"...it would be much better if they actually told you what the unit was. Say for example..."minotaurus lost to fremen fedykins" or "sardaukar elites lost to frmen snipers". Be nice to know what you lost as well as what killed it. slaphapy
the emperor lady doesnt bother me as much as the one on star craft "you require more minerals, you require more thespian gas... "
alexholker
For me, the most important message that isn't given is "Sandstorm approaching your base". Usually I'm micro-managing a squadron of laser tanks and only know about it when it's sucking up infantry by the dozen.

Yeah. There is only so much he can do for us, and I am thankful for her helping me, its just a sad game when I do hear it...a lot.

erjin999
Embrace the flame sounds so funny.Quick, someone make a thread about the best one-liners by units ! :PHeck, make it a poll !
