Shiroko
That's it, you asked for it, lets see what the intelligent crowd viewing this forum thinks.-Shiroko
HasimirFenring
Well, 2 against, none for. Seems kinda one-sided so far. There are a lot of people posting in the Doom 3 thread, though...
thomas
neither option suits me :-. I'm not the fanboy of it, but I think it's a kickass game.
gryphon
are those the only 2 options we get ?
Andrew
Also addDid not play it.As I havn't played it yet and most likely won't for a year or more as my video card isn't good enough.
Shiroko
GeForce 3 are already more than two years old, time to upgrade.Doom 3 runs very well on its minimum requirements, sure you put everything on low, but it still looks excellent.-Shiroko
Bi-lalKaifa
Well... it's either one or extreme or the other. So i had to choose one. To expand, i'd say it was a good game (and it runs adequately enough on my GeForce4 128), and the atmospheric lighting is pretty good too. On par with 'thuck - thuck - thuck - WEEBLE! WEEBLE! WEEBLE!' of the motion trackers on AvP. That thing scared the HELL out of me when I played it for the first time. In the dark.
lowzeewee
A yeti ate my copy... :O
Shiroko
The real problem is that though Doom 3 acts like a tech demo, the engine isn't available to licensing, well for now. Quite reasonable since its limited to dark enviorments right now.-Shiroko
Dunenewt
Well, you can guess what I voted for ;)

HasimirFenring
It's not that I dislike them, I just like RTS and RPG's more.
erjin999
Just to let you know, I voted about the dog eating my copy.I dont particularly like shooters, I played Halo through just because it was sssooooo hyped, and thought...hmmmm....then went back to emp. There is nothing special in these games, play them once, then walk away.Except maybe Max Paine. Well, I did walk away, but I actually really enjoyed the game. Maybe Doom3 will change my mind aboutt he genre, but from the comments here, I doubt it.
bryorama
May Payne is possibly the dumbest game ever. :)
Shiroko
I actually liked Max Payne 1&2. It has some distinctive features and gamestyle and a nice storyline which simply sounds awkward because storylines sound awkward when told by talking 3d models.-Shiroko
Dunenewt
Far Cry is quite good, so is UT2k3/4 and RTCW. Haven't played much of CoD but was quite good from what i did play.

Shiroko
I take back my vote, I was too caught up in the hype :(doom3 is just a platfrom to sell the engineYes, BTW Doom 3 engine is not available for licensing as of yet.ID's site says it's not feature complete. There's at least another full year before we'll see anything on that engine that puts it to good use (Aside MODs of course).-Shiroko
Andrew
Wasn't Emperor battle for Dune just to test a 3d RTS game, then they used it for Generals and stuff. (with many updates of course.)
