FED2K warlords

The prisoners are carried down to the dungeon beneath Kanly Keep.  Screams are met with violence as the torture begins.

"I'll-- I'll tell you anything!!" screams one prisoner.

The torture master shrugs, "There isn't anything I want to know."

Old teqniques are modified with new technology, and the pain goes on.

Meanwhile, the Jedi, Geric, walks through the streets of Kanly seeking a place to live.  He comes upon this small hamlet, and he starts living there.

A few weeks after he moves in he meets a young couple and consults with them about thier child.  He realizes that the Force is strong in this one.

He privately tutors the boy in the ways of the Force, and in twenty years the boy becomes a powerful Jedi like his teacher.  But due to the horrors of daily life in Kanly, the boy becomes more and more attracted to the Dark Side.

Finally Geric and his pupil have a confrontation.  Tahmn, the boy, refuses to listen to his master's commands and forces Geric to leave.

Heartbroken, Geric flees back to the only home he knows, Gaming, where he is taken back into the fold.

Of minor importance is a small change that occurs among the Gobists of Kanly.  Due to the holiness of the Gobist Temple, they change thier base of operations and move to Misery.

EWS looks at the order.

"Finally," he says, " I actually get to do something.  Now, not to empty the barracks.  What shall I take."

EWS deliberates and decides to take

400 Militia Troops (Leaving 150)

400 FarCry Demons (Leaving 55)

5 Flying Monkeys (leaving 5)

20 Gamers (Leaving 20)

5 Paladins (Leaving 5)

5 Vampires (Leaving 5)

20 Red Guards (Leaving 30)

1 Dragoon (Leaving 0)

General Severus comes, and Minerva stays behind.

EWS gathers all the troops together and addresses them in one large group.

"Tonight we march to Gaming.  Back to our homeland.  FarCry is not the target, that will come at a later date.  Warhammer 40K is our targer.  The battle will be fearce, there Eldar troops are tough.  But we will prevail.  Now we go!"

It wasn't very good, but it would do.  Behind him the 10 Assasains stood waiting for further orders.  EWS nodded and they went running off, far past the White Army and into the darkness.  They would get there in 2 posts, and they would make light work of the first troops.  The marching troops would therefore take 3 posts to get to Warhammer 40K.

To Dragoon Knight:

We have made our deal. Once you aquire your half of the bargain then we can start work.

DS.

To ExSPlug:

[hide]Current efforts are more important than re-taking old threads. If you cannot attack from the inside then attack from the outside. I will have a small company meet you outside Kanly, use 'The List' to get there quickly. There is no possibility of a trap this time so make sure the army is huge. I shall send reinforcements should they become necessary.

Once you arrive at Kanly, start the attack immediately; my own forces will join in later. Do not worry about requiring a counter to the anti-list tech, we do not need it. Neither, therefore, do we need to take any other threads. This also negates any need to study 'The List.'

My company will include a group of Magii. Like the others, they will not enter the battle until you have initited attack.

DS.[/hide]

To Lord J:

The War of Assassins has nothing on us... I suggest you make ready your defences.

DS.

"Darius, I want you to head North." Dust Scout ordered through the speaking tube. "It'll take you three or four posts to get there, but the thread itself is tiny, it won't put up much of a fight."

"I assume that is why there are not so many Magii travelling with us?" Darius' voice came back, tinny and echoing.

"Correct." Dust Scout acknowledged. "That and they have more important things to do at the moment I'm afraid. I have every confidence in you."

"Yes..."

"Oh, and when you take the thread, do not, I repeat, do not install a connection to The List. That is very important."

"If you say so."

"Good. Have a nice time." Dust Scout finished, shutting the speaking tube. He sighed. "Right, now to deal with those pesky battles..."

"I doi wish Sard would hurry up and get back here." J'invy complained. "I'm getting really tired of entering the paperwork for his damned troops as well as ours..."

"I'm glad we had all of this worked out beforehand."

"It would be a nightmare to try it now."

"You want to annouce it, or shall I?"

"Your turn."

"Why am I not surprised?"

"It's in your aura."

"Really."

"Yeah, see all these dirty flecks of grey? Means your a cynic."

"Cool. What about that great wash of maroon there?"

"Psychopathic tendancies."

"Psychopathic tendancies is maroon?"

"Hey, it's your aura, not mine."

"Damn my internal-external cosmic energies..."

"Damn them."

Formal contract.

*Fanfare*

Being of sound mind and-

No, that's not right.

Do you, Dust Scout, take-

That's not it either.

...Contract of trade.

Between the Warlords Dragoon Knight ['Dragoon'] and Dust Scout ['Dustie'].

Dragoon shall make available unto Dustie the two techs known as 'The Spice Melange' and 'House Shields.' Ergo, Dustie is given the ability to harvest spice of his own without need of payment other than dealt with below; and also given the technology to produce house shields.

Dustie shall make available to Dragoon one tech, known as 'Cloning.' Ergo, Dragoon gains the ability to clone his units in exactly the same way as Dustie. Also, Dragoon gains the ability to produce 20 of the unit 'Magii' per post in this agreement. These, as with the previous paragraph, are both given.

Finally...

Yeah, I thought that would never end.

Double-damned bureaucracy...

Contract ends...

Finally.

"So that's what it's like..." Dust Scout stared into the middle distance as his first sense of the spice stole into his brain and flipped all the levers.

"Are you sure this is an entirely good idea?" Lillian asked, a slight worried expression showing. "If Dragoon Knight withdraws his gift."

"I'm not so sure he can." J'invy said calmly, re-reading his copy of the contract. "There isn't a back-out clause."

"So we don't know what would happen?" Lillian asked nervously. She figited with Darius away.

"No, we don't." J'invy muttered grimly, snapping the rolls of spice-paper shut.

"It'll do." The spectral version of Dust Scout sighed. "I just hope that this messy battle will be over soon."

"ExSPlug needs to arrive first." Lillian said, "He'd better do it quickly..."

"I'll-- I'll tell you anything!!" screams one prisoner.

The torture master shrugs, "There isn't anything I want to know."

"Noooo......ahhh! I mu...must spit it out!" screams the prisoner again," Your torturing skills...ahhh! Sucks!"

The one prisoner who screamed was no other then Siren. The assassins had long been the masters of giving and receiving torture. To them, this was nothing more then a tickle.

"So don't think you can make us turn over to your side or get any info from us by any means! Ahhh...this "hurts"!" Siren pretends to scream again as she humiliate the troops torturing them.

=Gaming Borders=

The troops blitz through the lands of Fed2k. With "The List" being a defect, they had returned to their old ways.

"How long until we reach Kanly?" asked Vin to his 2nd-in-command.

"Next post. And maybe even sooner if no enemy notices us."

"Good. Continue our advance, and keep the troops on lookout for any hostile. Conduct first strike at any sign of them in our way."

Message to Dust Scout, again "Anti-Sound Ninja"ed:

[hide]Requesting permission to teleport Task Force 02 to the ruins of "Assassins" through "The List". From there I will sneak my troops to Kanly by utilizing your "Stealth" techology.

Please send your Magii to meet Task Force 01 which will commence siege on Kanly in next post.

Suggestion to you, why not attack multiple threads of Lord_J at the same time? We have upper hand in numbers, and quite a bit of his threads are not too heavily guarded. This would greatly cripple his tech tree. Espically on "My Angel (Earthquake Technology)" and "FED2K Survivor Four (Network (Double Unit Production)". Consider about this.

Lord Necroticon steps forth from the shadows, alone, and apparently unarmed.

"It is good to see you still fear my formidable Sound Ninjas, even after my extended leave...

"As you well know, I have been... out of touch for quite some time. If it is at all possible, I would like to confirm my alliance with Dust Scout and company. Dust Scout, does our alliance still stand? As it is, all my troops were lost to the "Dreaded C: Drive Format", and so, I am alone. I would like to... erm... Well, "enlist", I suppose the term is. Yes, that will do. "Enlist" in your army until such time as i can start a new life, here in the World of FED2k Warlords.

My thanks.

Also, to ExSPlug :: I Hope there are no hard feeling about our former... "disagreement"... because, if all goes well, I will be fighting alongside you.

  (Hidden Text for extreme violence)

[hide]  The vice is tightened until the assassin is seeing stars and on the verge of fainting.  The torture master gives her adrenaline to keep her awake through the proceedure.

"Have a nice ride!" he yells jovially as the motors start.  They are connected to lines which are tied around the female assassin's lower body.  Another motor has lines attached to the vice around her head.

As the pulling becomes unbearable and the comfort of unconiousness does not come, Siren comes to regret her words as panic starts rising at the back of her throat.  Shortly she starts to scream.  In a few hours it is over, her head seperated from her limp torso.

The torture master recovers the head and takes it to the science building, "This may still provide some enjoyment!"[/hide]

Meanwhile, Lord J is alerted to troop movement thanks to the very Earthquake tech that he is becoming ever fonder of.

"Launch the Earthquake attack!  Release a minimal number of wolves to terrorize them in the night!"

On the march the men start to feel a strange rumbling when suddenly a great chasm opens beneath thier very feet.  A few hundred die immediatly, then, as the rumbling continues, great boulders are shaken down and it seems the very forces the board are against the men.

Finally, when the dust settles a full third of ExSPlug's invading army is dead.

Later that night as they start to bed down in the open plain, howling can be heard as a great force of Werewolves bear down on the exausted and disheartened men.

The night is filled with bloodshed, screams of terror and howls of victory.

To Necroticon:

I suggest you make for the thread 'Freelancer' in Gaming. There my ally Dragoon Knight should be able to take you in, maybe even allow you command of a small company as with EWS. If not, you should get back to your HQ and start re-building pretty quick. As for our alliance, it has not gone away... But hear this. Soon your loyalty to this alliance may be tested, I trust you will not fail.

DS.

To ExSPlug:

[hide] Permission granted. Do not hang around in the ruins, I want this attack to progress quickly. The Magii are on their way. The reason I decided not to attack weaker threads first is because I do not want to cripple the tech tree, I want to topple it. Without an HQ, none of the techs will function outside of their own threads. It is a tough challenge, but worth it.

DS.[/hide]

"There it is." General Darius muttered. "Music and Sound."

"It's tiny!" Someone shouted.

"It's pathetic!" Someone else shouted.

'Dust Scout had better have a good reason for sending me all the way up here to Other Dune Games...' Darius thought grimly to himself.

The thread appeared defenceless, it didn't even have walls. As the vast army approached, not a single being was to be seen. And then, a movement in one of the shacks!

A stick-thin figure staggered out, clutching a splintered banjo. He began to play it. Badly. The army watched incredulously as the figure lurched and swung in a bizarre attempt at dancing, all the while strumming his woodworm-infested banjo. He croaked and hissed, and only the brightest realised that he was trying to sing along.

"This is sad."

"Really sad."

"How about we put him out of our misery?" A Magus suggested with a hopeful grimace. Darius sighed, and watched the sick scarecrow twirl and stumble towards him.

"He's trying to conceal a dagger." He muttered, "Take his feet out."

"Not the banjo!" The figure screeched hoarsely, as a Magus stepped forward and fired a metal shards spell. The shrapnel flew forward, slicing his feet off at the ankle. He screeched again, and dropped his banjo, before crumbling into dust. The banjo followed suit.

"...No wonder nobody comes up here." Darius commented.

"The locals are certainly strange." The Magus agreed.

New thread gained: Music and Sound

Tech gained: Jukebox.

Inside the shack was found a radio, with all but one of the knobs missing. It plays music.

"...We are so going home now." Darius growled, after making sure that a connection to 'The List' was not installed. He was marching South already. "And we're going to do it quickly! Home by next post or it's hard tack and gruel for a month!"

General Dunenewt swelled with pride. His first command in his new position, and look at the size of the army! With him marched over a thousand Celtic Warriors, more than eight hundred Bene Gesserit Crossbreeds! Sentinals and Dark Elves flew so densely overhead that the General could hardly make out the sun. Around him were his personal body guard of twenty Jomsvikings, fearsome fighters from the barracks of Endless Days. The General himself, formerly a Warlord, was not to be trifled with either. With the backing of several techs and the resurrecting Magii, his company had a lot to be said for it. Even the spectral ghost of Dust Scout from Fed2k RPG had joined the army. This was particularly useful as he could not be killed. He wasn't invulnerable though, and had made it clear that if he was on his own he would not hang around.

As the army left The God Emperor's Dune, General Dunenewt made his plans...

The plan was to head for Kanly, there to rendezvous with ExSPlug's forces. The news was that another company was to arrive from Gaming as well though, and that an unexpected and brutal attack was delaying the first company. Therefore Warlord Dust Scout had elected to make a slight detour on the way, to visit a thread called 'The Evilness Withen.'

The thread took the appearence of a small village. It had wooden walls, with pointed stakes set around it. The buildings were all wooden as well, with the exception of the 'bank,' which also doubled as a prison. Rural sense. Torches burned at regular intervals along the deserted street.

The Sentinals made the first pass, swooping over the village with the sensors on full. They detected no body heat. No human body heat at any rate. There were plenty of dogs, rats, mice, etc. But no humans. They did detect human-sized movement though, just out of sight...

The General stood in a hastily-erected tent, in front of him a map of the town. On his left floated the Ghost of Dust Scout, on his right stood Rai'Guy the Dark Elf. The pointy-eared archer made the General nervous. He had been the one to witness the slaughter at 'Assassin,' and had led the trapping mission in Fed2k Warlords. He was creepy.

"Alright, we've done a full scan of the town." Dunnewt said, "And it's going to be sunset soon. I'm told that it's not a very good idea to be here in the dark, so quick suggestions are welcome."

"The thread's primary inhabitants are supposed to be zombies and ghouls;" Rai'Guy hissed, but these are not our primary concern, even though they are the most numerous. No, our most dangerous foes here are the vampires."

"Oh, wonderful." The General muttered. "As if an enemy that can actually die wasn't bad enough..."

"I suggest that you leave the attack to me." Rai'Guy continued, "The vampires can survive decapitation, dismemberment, drowning, blood loss, just about anything. Their weaknesses are holiness, garlic, and wooden stakes. Or, for that matter, anything wooden driven through their hearts..."

"Your arrows." Dunenewt realised.

"Correct." Rai'guy nodded. "However, we will need to work without distraction. Ordinarily we are out of the way due to our ability to levitate, but we will be facing an enemy who is not just able to take to the skies but is capable of fully-fledged flight."

"You want someone to be your bait." The Ghost of Dust Scout said smugly.

"Yes." Rai'guy said, "We need a large body of force to distract the vampires for long enough for us to attack. I suggest the Celtic Warriors. They are numerous and expendable."

"...They-" The General started incredulously.

"Glad you agree." The Dark Elf smirked. "The sun will set any moment now, I suggest you give the orders."

General Dunenewt felt guilty. He felt dirty. He had told his men to line up for inspection, and sent all those that Rai'guy did not want interfering to bed. The last Warrior slipped into line just as the last rays of the sun faded from view...

"It starts..." Rai'guy whispered as he took to the skies.

There was silence. Even the cicadas hid quietly. The General stood in front of his troops and waited. The orange glow that hovered above the village grew steadily dimmer, as one by one the torches were snuffed out. A trickle of sweat ran down his spine. He could feel them getting closer...

And then the gates swung open. As the last of the town's torches were extinguished, the General caught a glimpse of rows and rows of shambling zombies...

"Light the torches!" He yelled, drawing his sword. At once the company of warriors struck up their flaming brands. The zombies groaned, but started their advance nevertheless.

"Charge!" The General bellowed. With a fearsome battle cry, the thousands of Celtic Warriors charged. And, just above their torchlight, hundreds of black shapes flittered...

The first vampire attacked. Swooping out of the air, she was only a glimpse of glorious beauty and flapping black material, before she and her screaming victim disappeared into the blackness. Looking up, Dunenewt was worried to notice that not even the moon or stars shone on this night. It was completely black.

The army clashed with the zombies, smashing into them and spreading out. The dead were weak and feeble. They had been rotting for years, moudlering away. They fell apart before the co-ordinated precision of the Warriors. But they were not the only threat on the ground... As the zombies fell in droves, they revealed the ghouls.

"Ghouls!" The call went up. "Ghouls! There are Ghouls here!" And so there were. Evil beings, half rotting flesh and half rotting spirit, they were moudlering on both planes and furious about it. Their minds torn apart as their brains and spirits were flayed to pieces, the ghouls drained the very life out of those they came across, before killing their victim and turning them into one of their own. Even the Magii couldn't resurrect these dead, for they were not truly dead; they were of course, undead.

And then the vampires attacked in force. Dropping the one-by-one tactic, they dove down in hordes upon the helpless Warriors, carrying them off and dropping them, or worse. They ducked and dived around the ground-based troops, teasing them as a cat would tease a mouse.

Rai'guy watched, absorbing the tactics. He and his Dark Elves floated silently in the air while the vampires flew around them. Thanks to the Espionage Stealth tech, they were unseen. He judged the time to be right. He strung an arrow to his bow, and let fly.

A hiseous scream echoed across the battlefield, causing even the Ghouls to pause in their deadly work. A ragged form plunged towards the earth, exploding in a shower of dust and ash above the heads of the army. The first vampire casualty.

With the signal now given, the other Dark Elves began their own campaign. They fired arrow after arrow with pinpoint precision. But these were Vampires, not just any old moving target. Only a hundred or so fell before they caught on, and started to fly much faster. They did not tease anymore, they did not play. They fought to kill, not to maim.

General Dunenewt looked up into the night. He couldn't tell one shadowy form from another, and had no way of telling which way the battle was going. Vampires were dying, but many Dark Elves were falling to the ground as well... He decided to take a risk.

"Sentinals!"

The Sentinals recieved their orders. Rising from their relaxed positions just above the ground, they ignored the battle and flew immediately towards the town wall. There, each of them smashed their metallic tentacles into the wood, tearing away the pointed wooden stakes and flying back into the battle...

They tore back and forth, matching the Vampires' speed and agility. With no way to combat the huge, metallic monsters, the vampires were thrown into disarray. The Sentinals plunged their stakes into heart after heart, sometimes more than one at a time. The vampires died...

And as they died, the battle on the ground wavered. The zombies were now all but gone, but those that remained slumped down, their controlling orders gone. The Ghouls too faltered, the instructions from their more powerful undead kin becoming weaker and more garbled. The human army, after an initial holdback to regroup, charged back into the fray.

The Vampires were retreating! Rai'guy smiled tensely. His nightvision allowed him to clearly see the last of the undead fly back over the wall, disappearing into their various hiding places. He was vaguely angry that the General had seen fit to order the Sentinals into the battle, it made his own troops appear... weak. He sighed, and shrugged mentally. The battle was won all the same. And he could always arrange a slight... 'accident' to happen to the General... He smirked, and turned around to gaze into a pair of malevolent red eyes.

The General panted. He had joined in himself at points in the battle, and was even now wiping zombie goo from the blade of his sword. He was pleased with himself. As he stood up, he felt a vague prickling on the back of his neck... He dropped his sword, paralysed. Slowly, he floated up into the air, and turned around.

The man before him was tall, and pale. He wore black, and was extremely pale. His hair was black, and tied back. His confident smile revealed a pair of long and pointed canines, while his eyes glowed a baleful red. Over one arm, the limp form of a Dark Elf was slung.

"Ah, the Great General." He said, pronouncing the capital letters. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Count Lupus Glaciatus, of 'The Evilness Withen.' Do not try to talk, you cannot. And besides, I will know it all soon enough anyway..." The Count closed his eyes, but continued to hover. The General felt the intrusion in his mind at once. He could do nothing to stop it as the Vampire probed and pushed inside his brain, reading his mind, examining his deepest secrets and his most personal memories. He tried to struggle, both mentally and physically, and was rewarded with a mental blast that sent his mind reeling. He felt the Vampire's mind ooze sadistic pleasure and satisfaction. It began to withdraw, finally leaving him alone.

"Interesting..." The Count licked his teeth as he opened his eyes. The General noticed that not a single soul seemed to have noticed his predicament. He tried to cry out, and was completely unable. The Vampire laughed cruelly. "Very well. I see your intention and I see your mind. You have caused enough trouble with your pesky machines though. You can have this thread... if you win it."

"We...just...did." The General said through gritted teeth.

"Fight against me." The Count said, lowering the General to the ground. "Aristocracy against military, brains against brawn! Single combat! And if you w-" He was cut short, as a hand tightened around his throat. His eyes flashing in fury, he looked down at Rai'guy, who tightened his grip.

"Not fair..." The Dark Elf hissed. "He's still... alive..." Lupus sneered through his anger, and Rai'guy fell away, his mind shattered by another mental blast. As he fell, his hands scoured deep gashes into the count's neck. The Vampire looked up-

-Dunenewt ran him through with his sword. The Count looked surprised, astonished even.

"That..." he said hoarsely, "Is the first time anyone has ever managed to do that... in over twelve centuries..." He reached down, and pulled the sword out. "Very well, General. You cheated, which is what I like. The battle is fought, and we have... lost."

Thread gained: The Evilness Withen

Unit gained: The Vampire.

One of the most powerful forms of undead, the skills of the older vampires are almost boundless. They can change their shape, they can read and control minds of humans and animals, they can fly, their strength and agility is -obviously- supernatural. They also have some grasp of magic. The younger vampires are less powerful. Their shapes are limited and their minds are not so strong. They are more vulnerable to things that the older vampires can -with an effort- shrug off; such as running water, holy water, running holy water, garlic, fire, holy symbols, etc...

Vampires therefore come in two varieties. The Ancient, which are mind-blowingly powerful and therefore produced at a rate of 10 per turn, or the Young, which are produced at 20 per turn. Only one form can be produced each turn, not both. Both can turn other units into vampires, should they choose. Units that become vampires retain their sentience though, so the prefered method is to turn them into Ghouls, who just kill everything that isn't dead already.

The General surveyed the carnage. The zombies, and those few they had killed, had been burned. The Magii refused to risk raising them, and the last thing the General wanted was more zombies wandering around. The same went for most of the Ghouls, since Count Lupus had said that since the Vampire population was so lowered, they would be difficult to control. The remaining Vampires had all joined up when Lupus had. There were about 100 Ancient Vampires, and 200 Young. Those that had been killed by the Vampires were unraisable, though a few had been 'vampireised,' if that was the term.

Dunenewt sighed. One day of rest, and then he would set out again...

[OOC: While previewing I was told that my message exceeded the allowed length, so I'm putting the unit stats in a second post. No trouble, I hope?]

Heh heh... That was big...

OOC, to Lord_J:

Emm...I think you need to delete or modify your post. You've mistakened the 2 tasks forces. The one attacking and travelling in Fan Fiction is:

Task Force 01

500 Dragon-Panzers(DP)

400 Fenris Riders(FR)

200 Warmasters(W)

Warmaster Vin

This would be the one taking the 1/3 loss if you still plan to use "Earthquake" on them. I had also purposely added on the previous post to tell the troops "to stay on lookout" in case of being ambushed(can't forget DK's incident :P), so...

1)The losses due to "Earthquake" would be of no effect to the DPs and Ws, since DPs are airborne, and the Ws are riding on their backs.

2)Werewolves' terror strike won't be as effective. Since they are melee(unless you make them smart enough to use ranged weapons), only the FRs would be sneaked upon. And FR ride Fenris Wolves, bigger and badder then your Werewolves.

3)If you wish to kill a named troop through torture, use Akira(the male Devil Summoner), not Siren. Need her for later plots. Best is that you just kill off an unnamed unit though.

4)Task Force 02: 440 R/1100 APU/Twinkie the Redhair are still in "OOOH" in the previous post.

OOC, to Necroticon:

Welcome back. Don't take that "disagreement" too personally, it was only meant to be IC, for dramatic effects only ;) Sorry if I do hurt you.

IC(Lord_J's previous post is ignored.):

=Kanly=

"Fire in the hole!" yelled the Dragon-Panzer captain.

A wave of smoke grenades flew onto the walls guarding "Kanly". As they splatter on the top of the walls they inginited and sprewed out toxic fumes. Lord_J's forces were mainly consisted of organic units, so the grenades were exceptionally effective. Fluids were gushing out of their nostrils and eyes, and their lungs burned with every breath of the toxic fume they breathed. Their combat capabilities were greatly weakened.

"Charge!" commanded the captain as he muffles himself with a gas mask and dived down. The rest of the troops followed suit, and dived into the smoke covered walls of the thread.

"Get to the gate controls! The warmaster is waiting for us!"

The Dragon-Panzers hacked and slashed their way to the gate controls. The highlanders were easy as most of them are already close to dead when they charged in, and didn't put up much of a fight. The stronger units, however, even affected by the fumes, were still a trouble. Still, they falled with the swarming tactics the Dragon-Panzers used.

"Captain, the gate controls were dstoryed! They had jammed the gates shut!"

"Damn!" the captain sweared, then radioed Vin, "Warmaster, the gate controls were damaged. We can't open the gates! We could fly out and get some explosives, but that would take too long to set-up!"

"Give me a mintue..." in turned to his comarads and discussed for a short while, "Ok captain, order your men to search for cropses of intact Ordos Sabotages! You know what I have in mind?"

"Yes commander!"

The loud explosion were heard by everyone in the thread, friend or foe alike. The gate of Kanly fell along with it.

"Holy...gotta find out what explosives do they use." mumbled Vin as he stares at a pack of C4 in his hands, then flung it away.

The invasion force had now breached the outer defences and is inside the thread.

=OOOH=

"Sir, we've lagged down a bit with the change in the composition of the task force."

"Yes, but that would be essential. Gobspeed, Twinkie."

Dark aura engulfed the courtyard. As it dispersed, nothing remained.

=Assassins=

"All attached and camoed?" asked Twinkie.

"Yes commander."

"Lift off to cruising height. Tell the troops that we may sacrifice sped for height and stealth."

Gaming(1 thread):

General Dunenewt looked through his telescope into the distance. He frowned, which hurt the eye he was looking through. "Kanly is under attack already." He muttered.

"Well, we were delayed longer than expected in The Evilness Withen." The Ghost of Dust Scout commented, looking through a pair of spectral binoculars that he had somehow obtained. The General glanced sideways, to the third member of the commanding council. Rai'guy lurked in the shadow of a tall beech tree, his eyes glowing. He caught the General watching him, and grinned evilly, showing off his new fangs. Dunenewt shuddered. As a Dark Elf he had been bad enough; now a Vampire as well, Rai'guy was just a bit too creepy. He was beginning to think that maybe the Archer couldn't be trusted... He felt another presence in his mind.

It pressed, squirmed, trying to gain entry. With a mental shove, the General pushed it out. Rai'guy glared at him. He may have been a Vampire, but fortunately he hadn't had much practice at it. The General sighed in relief, glad that Lupus, who had elected to join them, was nowhere to be seen.

The Count was, in fact, not so very far away. He sat on a branch, in the middle of a lage pine forest, and watched. In front of him was... carnage. A travelling force that belonged to ExSPlug had come under attack, and even now the Werewolves fought with the defenders [OOC: I don't know how this is going to play out, but I'll just assume that Lord J attacked the party, whichever one it was].

Lupus had no intention of interfering. He had no orders to, and figured that it was much more interesting to just watch the battle. He wanted to see who was going to win without influencing the fight in any way. The Dragon Panzers flew, rather clumsily he thought, back and forth above the werewolves. Still, it wasn't one-sided. The lupine creatures were utilising the trees to jump onto their airborne foes, and were fighting fiercely with the Fenris Riders. The two species of wolves clashed time and again, claws and jaws tearing and gashing at each other. The Fenris Wolves were severely hampered by their riders in these closed quarters, and the Werewolves were able to think far more strategically.

The tree shook, and Lupus glanced down with a raised eyebrow to see a werewolf climbing the tree, digging his clawss deeply into the bark to drag himself up. Despite himself, the Count was impressed. It wasn't every dog-like species that could climb a tree. That was usually the sole realm of the felines. He sighed, and leaned over the branch, sending a mental broadcast towards the rapidly ascending Werewolf to let the creature know he was there.

The Werewolf paused, and glared upwards. Lupus bared his fangs. The Werewolf hung for a moment longer, before digging in his hind paws, and flipping backwards onto another tree, which he slid down for a moment but was soon climbing again.

He passed Lupus, paused near the top, and then leapt out and onto a passing Dragon Panzer. The Count watched the brief struggle for a while, reflecting on the Werewolves.

Vampires and Werewolves were like families. Extended families. Each one was made up of several branches, which often warred between one another. The Vampires had Clans, the Werewolves had packs. Sometimes a Vampire Clan would hire some Werewolf mercenaries to attack another Clan, sometimes a Werewolf Pack would make a deal with a Vampire Clan. Both species made and broke alliances on a regular basis and sometimes, rarely, there would be a massive war between the two species; with all of the Clans united against all of the Packs. Or at least, that is how it had been... Now, with the various Warlords taking over the political circus, the Clans and Packs were being pushed aside.

Lupus recognised several members of different Packs in the Werewolves below, though he didn't know any individuals. It had been so long since the Vampires and the Werewolves had met in battle, all his foes were probably dead from old age by now. That was a common mistake people made, Lupus mused as an explosion rocked the tree he crouched in, Werewolves were not undead, and nor were they immortal. They were living, breathing creatures. Vampires were not; and the smarter ones stayed alive for millennia.

Lupus glared down at the battle below. It seemed to be reaching the endgame. Well, he had fulfilled his purpose, the Werewolves knew that their ancient allies and enemies had joined the game now. He stood up, letting the night wrap itself around him (Yes it's daylight elsewhere, but what is Fanfiction if not focussed on atmosphere?), rising into the air and flying silently away.

Battle Of The Line~HighLands~

"But... but this tech is-" The foreman protested.

"Obsolete." The Vampire interrupted. She was getting tired of this. If the foreman hadn't been dead already, she would most likely have killed him. "Rising is all well and good but with The Evilness Withen to support there is a better use for this thread. You will switch production immediately."

Tech lost (Upgraded)- Rising

Tech gained- Undead Upgrade.

After the taking of The Evilness Withen, production of Vampires was gained. This tech doubles the number of undead units produced per turn (ie, Vampires), so it would be 20 Ancient Vampires or 40 Young. The power of these units is not affected.

General Dunenewt stood unsteadily on top of a Sentinal, which afforded him a bird's eye view of the battling below. Kanly was partly hidden in clouds of smoke, and rocked by many explosions. The Sentinal quivered slightly as another one tore through the ranks.

"Are we going in?" Rai'guy hissed, from underneath the Sentinal.

"Not yet." Dunenewt said, looking to either side. Every one of the Sentinals hovered in a line, many of them with a Magii standing on top. "I was told to wait for orders, that's what I'm going to do."

General Darius marched back into The God Emperor's Dune. He had sent a message on ahead and though the explnaation he had recieved was not entirely satisfactory, he would not question it. ...Yet.

Dust Scout gave the order to open The List connection in Kanly, not without apprehension. There was nothing, after all, to stop units leaving the thread, as long as he gave his permission for the the link to be opened. He waited until the next signal came, that all of the units EWS wanted out were out, and then shut down the link.

"Can't have Lord J running around in my List." He muttered, checking that everything was in order. It was. EWS' requested troops were out, and nothing had followed them. Good. The Warlord sighed, hoping he knew exactly what Dragoon Knight's new pet was up to.

OOC, to EWS: Siren is a SHE :D

OOC, to Dust Scout: So do we still assume the attack on Kanly commenced and that the Earthquake was cast on the advancing force?

IC:

=Kanly=

The battle of Kanly waged on. The battle is now still in favor of the invading force. There was something that puzzled Vin though, something is missing.

Werewolves.

He began to think of that skirmish again...

The task force was advancing at full speed to Kanly. The formation was as usual, with the ground force moving ahead below, and the Dragon-Panzers in cruise height, acting as lookout, as well as QRF incase the troops below were attacked. All seemed to be like normal, but suddenly the round trembles.

An earthquake erupted right below the Fenris Riders. They broke from formation and spread out quickly, but the crack seemed to be living, and exteneded to directions where the Riders dispersed to. When the quake stops, already 1/3 of the Riders were devoured by the endless pit. Luckily the Dragon-Panzers were airborne, and airlifted the warmasters to increase their advancing speed, or the loss would even more devasating.

But bad luck didn't want to loosen their grasp on the troops.

Wolfhowls emerged from around the riders. Not from their own Fenris wolves. This one was much softer, but of a much higher pitch. It didn't shattered morale like the counterparts that they are riding, but it does lower morale.

"Gather up into smaller squads, there's no time to fully regroup! We've hostile!" the order was issued to the riders, which performed the command swiftly. At the same time, the Fenris Wolves returned favour with their trademark howls. As the howling ends, the werewolves leaped down from the ridges nearby, and the battle begin.

"Contact! Kill'em all!" yelled a Rider as he lights a flare to inform the Dragon-Panzers above.

The first side that drew blood was the werewolves. A Rider was ganged by 5 werewolves, there was nothing he can do. As soon as he fall, however, it was the 5 werewolves that met the same fate. Flaming arrow showered from around them, killing them instantly.

The chaos continued, with teh Dragon-Panzers entering the battle royale. Soon the werewolves were taken cared of, but the losses were greater then expected.

=Back to now=

"Vile creatures...lets hope that they aren't here again." thought Vin "Shit...I had forgottened that they were werewolves!"

"Captains!"

"Yes sir?" a few captains came to Vin's side.

"Three orders! One, issue the following order to all troops: Find any silver that one may get, melt it, then coat it on their weapons!"

"Acknowledge!"

"Two, you! Account for all wounded troops in the skirmish, have them all contained in a tough solid building, by any means and reason!"

"Sir, yes sir!"

"Third, send this LED lamp to the commander leading Dust Scout's men!"

Message to Dust Scout:

[hide]Requesting Magii with the best healing abilities amoung your rank to heal some of my men. They might be infected by werewolves. I want them to be healed to such an extent that their wounds won't be fatal, and that's enough.

And I wish to be provided the fastest route to transport some Devil Summoners to Kanly. Is there any secured line of "The List"? This is of utmost importance.

Warmaster Vin[/hide]

=OOOH=

A group of assassins warped to ExSPlug. They had somehow escaped from Kanly, but even the assault force didn't know that.

"How's the others?" asked ExSPlug.

"We're the only ones that got out. We were locked seperately, we don't know about the others."

"So...would they still be alive?"

"Very likely, we could still hear the chilling screams from other cells when we escaped."

"Emm...I assume that can be considered good news."

"There is something that we have discovered also. Lord_J had got his hands into a powerful special transport, one that looked liek a big round sphere."

"Don't tell me that's another "The List"...Better inform our allies."

Message to Dust Scout, EWS, Dragoon Knight:

[hide]My men had informed me of Lord_J aquiring a special transport device, one that looks like a great round sphere. Do any of you have idea of what it is? Anyway...tighten your defences in other threads, that thing does give Lord_J the ability to backstabb us.

And a million thanks to whoever aided the assassins to escape.

ExSPlug[/hide]

Upon being informed of that errie transport device, the defence of "OOOH" had tightened. ExSPlug had also issued orders to capture that device if possible.

Ordos45 nodded to Bea, "We're out of Lockdown old friend...I've dispatched orders to 300 of the 700 Marines in HALO2 to march on STDW, and for the rapid deployment force to march on Patriotism."

"A good move m'lord," said the Cardinal.

"Bea," said Ordos45," I'm unsure how long we can maintain our nuetrality in the war erupting in fanfiction.

[OCC I am ignoring the order of power as this is the first time you have mentioned it]

With Siren gone, the Assassains elected their most esteemed in charge.

Patriotism:

Covering fire swept over Patriotism, but this battle would be difficult.  The grass was high, and the local fighters of the thread were all wearing camoflauge uniforms.  General Irani knew it was only a matter of time however.  The crack of a defender's rifle reached his ears, and he saw another marine fall.

STDW:

They had found them in an area of underground caves...they were called the Jem Hadar.  They were using some sort of energy weaponry, and seemed to come out of thin air.  So far 25 marines had fallen to only a handful of the Jem Hadar defenders.  The major in charge of the marines made a motion for frag grenades, and was pleased to see Jem Hadar body parts flying out of the area the grenades had exploded.  Only a matter of time...hopefully...

Dragoon woke up from a short nap to a lot of bleeping.  Battles, new threads, arguments...

"What the hell happened?!" he shouted.  "I go to sleep for 5 minutes... just 5 MINUTES!!!"

"Sir?" asked Ryu?

"AARGH!" shouted Dragoon Knight.  "I'm going back to sleep!  Sort this out!!" he screamed, popped a spice cube, and slammed his head on the desk, knocking himself out.  There was a pause, with Dragoon Knight lying peacefully unconscious.

"... Yes, sir."

OOC:

New unit-Assassins:

Best unit in stealth activities, covert operations, and of course, assassination. This is a special unit. When I chooses an assassin to "assassinate", the results would be defined by my posting time. A d10 would be added to the "second" digits of my posting time. An even number would be success, and odd number failure. Normal units takes 1 post, HQ/thread 2 posts, Unique/Named/Warlord 3 posts. Note that an Warlord could never been assassinated, but maybe critically wounded or of similar results.

So this is an assassination attempt. I would bring in the rules of "assassination". Editing time of 2 posts before would be used, since that's EWS's latest IC post.

Patriotism:

Patriotism was theirs, but the battle had gone costly.  General Irani departed back to the Assembly Area of the RDF, happy to see the Superhighways were already reaching into the thread.

STDW:

"Cease fire," bellowed a voice.

Startled, the Major ordered his men to do the same," Cease fire men!"

A Jem Hadar rippled into view unarmed," You have proven yourselves worthy to fight alongside us.  We gladly join your cause."

New Tech Acquired

Patriotism - Triples current infantry productions per post.  Examples, 300 marines, 120 Mossad, 6 Seraphim.

New Unit Acquired

Jem Hadar- Genetically created soldiers created in test tubes.  They can become invisible for short periods of time, have near perfect aim, and their motto in life is "Victory is death".  They will fight to the very end, although the end comes quickly for them in mountainous terrain.

Recruitment rate of 20 per post.  Doubles to 40 per post with Nationalism/Propaganda/Conscription.  Triples to 120 per post with Patriotism.
