Exatreides talked about maybe making them a few years ago, nothing came of it.  But really, who'd pay $73 for a T-shirt they'd never wear anyway?

That was your suggested price to cover basic costs and the like.  There were peripheral costs which would have forced the overall cost per shirt up to $73.

Many, many costs not fromt he makign of the shirt, but resulting fromt he making and selling of the shirts that raise the price.

Soo, Fixed costs like a building, buying a shirt making machine and rent? A production expense that does not vary with output.

Variable costs are cost of the materials needed to make shirt. (cloth, die, lettering,) The production expense that changes with the quantity of of output produced.

I never pay more than $15 for pub crawl shirts and most shirts I see advertised for individual websites are regular prices.
