Count the black dots

Ok, this is just weird... Can anyone explain it? :O

Close examination with PSP's "color-select" tool will prove their are no black dots.  All of the dots are in fact completely white, all the time (it's not an animated picture).  Freaky, eh?

I wouldn't call it imperfections. More likely would I call it good optimizations of the eye. Imagine what work your brains needed to if they processed every single light particle coming into your eye ;)

actually it has to do with something called retina burn-out ... not with the brain being efficient.

You see if you stare at a certain color for too long... you will end up seeing its opposite when you look away temporarily.

For instance... stare at the red brake lights (when lighted)of a car

Gunwounds:  I don't think it's the burnout, although I know what you're talking about.  A similar problem, yes, but not the exact same thing.

There aren't any black dots fellows  ;) It's because brain wants to get as much information as possible, but the white dots are so damn small, that black dots appear on the white dots, or something like that, it's normal ;D

Focus a few seconds on the same spot on the picture, and the white dots are white, just as they should be...

Crazy stuff.  Wierd thing to do is to stare directly at the center white dot, but unfocus your vision and be more aware of the whole picture by using your peripheral vision (bball players know what I'm talking about).  You can see at the same time that all dots are white.
