How do I transfer a quote to another thread

Could one of the editing staff tell me how I can transfer a quote from one thread, to say a reply that I want to include it in?

I asked someone else but they didn't know either. ???

How about this trick: simply click quote in the thread you are getting it from first, like you are replying to it. After that copy and paste your reply to the thread where you want to use it. Afterwards remove the 1 quoted post

I tried that, but when I right click on the quote, the paste command is greyed out ? :-

What I do is say quote in the thread that you want to quote from, press control c(once you hvae selected the text) then go to the thread you want to put the quote in and press control v. It should work.

I think that is what the other person said.

To say it even more clearly:

-Press quote in the thread screen

-In the Post reply screen, copy (Select > CTRL-V) the quote text from the Message field

-Don't post the message but directly go to the main page

-Go to the thread where you want to use the quote

-Reply to the thread

-Paste the text in the Message field (CTRL-P)

Make sure you're typing in the textfield when hitting "Cnrl+v" :P

Then right click with ur mouse and press paste.

i usually use ctrl insert to copy and shift insert to paste. That should work, i thought of that before but i thought that was such a slow way to do that, that there must be something better

I can do this in the same thread but I can't move a quote to another thread, none of the options mentioned so far work :-

* Select all the text and right click on the text. Select Copy.

* Close the post you're making and go to the thread you want to post the quote in.

* Press Reply and right click in the message area. Select Paste.

I think it's greyed out because you do not right click in the message area.

On that point do other countries do retro forecast eg its Thursday and the weatherman then proceeds to tell you what the weather was like on Wednesday !
