I've got a Nokia 5165, but all I use it for it to play "Snake"...It's TracFone, so I gotta pay for minutes as I use them.

Trac phone, 300 pre-paid minutes. I've used it once in the four months I've had it. It's emergencies only.

I use (when used which is not often) the cheapest motorolla flip phone possible. Doestnt matter if you drop it as long as its not in water. (killed exact other one that way)

omg... what a stupid thing to say, do you ever go in for an x-ray?

that's much worse and has it caused your arm to mutate or anything? i think not

the sun gives off possibly dangerous rays as well you know... how do you think you get a sunburn? it also gives off gama rays (though almost all gama rays are stoped by particles in the atmosphere, there is an occasional few...) the sun also causes skin cancer, my dad has it because of too much sun.

anyway to stick to subject, i have a motorola flip phone now, i used to have a regular one that was just plain and simple but because our plan gives a new one every year we got a flip phone, it's not quite the cheapest one but it's much less than a lot of phones.

btw: a tumor and cancer are the same thing

definition of cancer: uncontrolled growth of cells

somehow that kind of response from nav doesn't surprise me... I don't have a cell and really don't need one (although having one for emergencies would be nice). Ok Navaros, how about that radiation coming out of your computer monitor? I'm sure your kitchen microwave isn't perfectly sealed either and you're getting tumors from that! There are plenty of things in your daily life MUCH more hazardous to your health than cell phones...

Nav must you always bring us down with your useless drivel.........

Anyways,

I just got a cell recently and was really excited. I saw this like buisness man talking on his cell and was like ;D "I HAVE TO HAVE THAT CELL PHONE!!!!!!!!!!"

So I went on internet and found out it was a Motorola V60t

so I looked around forever to find a reasonable price for the phone, I wasent prepared to pay the full price of $300.00 USD for a cell. I get called Diamond Jim alot because everybody thinks I dont need it for anything important and I had to have the best one lol. Well I couldent find anything so I just bought the dam thing for full price. Have the prepaid deal too so I have about 500 anytime and like 1500 night and weekend. Im happy with it so I guess thats all that matters.

I use it a few times per week, but not very much.

Might be a lot more when school starts again now soon.

at the moment I own this one. I got it while working for KPN [ local phone company in The Netherlands ], all employers got one of them and I'm somewhere involved into the I-mode thingy they have ....

Before this one I owned a Siemens, there has been an Erricson among them and I had every Motorola V series phone sinds the Startac came out [ what can I see, I was a trekie at that time ... ]

Nokia does mass-production at the cost of quality.

They have the highest repair rate on their phones.

But they're great if you look at the price and compatibility.

Microwave ovens do use similar frequencies to mobile telephones. However, a microwave oven heats up the water in food by exciting it with a standing wave (aka a stationary wave) of the frequency precisely correct to cause resonance in water molecules. Mobile 'phones do not create standing waves unless you stick a reflective piece of metal the other side of your head. Secondly, the effects of waves close the resonance frequency for water

And so if you get the right 'phone and somehow manage to set up a standing wave, your brain WILL suffer radiation. That is to say, your brain will become slightly more warm. At that frequency, there's nowhere near enough energy to ionise (E=hf; high frequency radiation can ionise - that's a little dangerous.).

Do remember that microwaves are just a different part of the EM spectrum - i.e., they are low frequency light. You are more likely to get cancer from sitting out in the sun for a day than from using a mobile 'phone. On the other hand, you're more likely to annoy people with a mobile 'phone.

I never had any problems with my cellphone. I have had it for over a year

I didn't mean that every Nokia cell phone will break before the first year has passed, but that they have a higher repair frequency.

Cell phones ae indeed dangerous if you use them too much, but it's also dangerous to drink too much water. Remember, everything in moderation.

that's a good point Duke Leto... it's almost the same thing as what the media does, it just blows everything out of proportion, such as the whole SARS thing, really, influenza kills more people every year than that did in it's short span of outbreak... cell phones are not as dangerous as everyone thinks... in fact I would probably pay you if you could find someone with real evidence that a cell phone, unmistakable caused them serious problems

there is all that stuff as well about how that blue sugar for iced tea (i forget the name) but on the label they have written "may cause cancer" but, what they don't tell you is that they basically had some lab rats basically living off of the stuff with nothing else, and it caused some of them to have cancer, but because it actually did, they have to say that it "may cause cancer" for legal reasons mostly...

I guess you really dident NEED that cell if you only used it once.......

Should sell it and buy something cool.

Siemens is the most user-friendly,according to a poll somewhere recently while Nokia is the most "in". :D

but it's also dangerous to drink too much water
