People eat dogs in many countries, I don't particularly think I ever would, but many do. If you were a starving settler, would die, you'd eat your dog. Anyway, this is just a flame thread anyhow.

Oh, they eat cats too! I've got a cat! I could never thing of eating either dogs or cats, nor any land-organism for that matter. I'm a "fish-man", by the way. So if tomorrow, eating meat would become illegal, it wouldn't affect me.

But, not just flaming against Korea, China eat dogs too. I understand your rage, but we can't do anything about it. There's surely people who would lynch all of America, Europe or the whole world for eating cows, pigs and horses. Ever heard of "blood-pie"? It's one of the most disgusting things I've heard about. They "extract" the blood from a pig, and then, they steak it, until it becomes hard. Then, they eat it. I refer to those people as "vampires", because they eat/drink blood. Most candies (at least over here) have some ingredience of pigs. That's why I probably rather eat an ice cream, or chocholate.

Oh grow up. It's a cultural idiosyncracsy, just like it is to eat beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb etc in this part of the world. I would probably never eat it but there are people in India who think you're a sicko for eating any meat at all because of reincarnation.

I saw a guy on TV who's breeding cattle small enough to be house pets. He showed an adult pigmae cow that was about the size of the largest of dogs. Quite impressive, really. I don't know how trainable they are but they'd make very efficient pets if you could train them well enough. They can eat things you can grow in your garden, and their crap makes excellent fertilizer.

everybody needs to stop comparing dogs and cats to other animals. dogs and cats are not other animals. dogs are highly intelligent human companions, not big fat dumbasses that do nothing but eat grass all day or roll around in their own feces for fun. your comparisions are incredibly stupid and shallow.

Thousands of animals die every day to satisfy our "needs". Cats and dogs among them. Oh, and should'nt Greece be nuked too? They sprayed poison into both dogs and cats on some holiday. And besides all this, many animals are being treated very badly in science. Oh, wait a minute, it wasn't even science. It was testing of parfume and shampo. Better stop using those products, Nav, because they support the killing and toruring of animals, INCLUDING cats and dogs.

Oh, and about chickens. Even though, they are "stupid", they die horrible deaths each years. First, they are put in small cages, hundreds are in the same 1 x 1 m (meter) cages. Not only this, other cages that are stacked above and on the sides kills "accidently" chickens who have any of their bodyparts outside of the cage. Even the newspaper mentioned it. Millions of chickens die every year of these "accidents", tens of thousands are shot every week because they aren't "good" enough to be slaughtered and eaten by us.

And, ultimately, those who "make it", are slaughtered and eaten.

You know what this sounds like? What the Nazis did to the Jews half a century ago. Even worse. When I read the article, for a moment, I was ashamed of being alive. And not only Sweden, but other countries as well. Should we nuke all those countries too?

I read something about this. Restaurants in China were serving St. Bernhard dogs (wich originate from Switzerland) and were calling it a "European delicacy". The Swiss got all pissed about it then.

Nav, technicly spoken pigs are smarter then cats or dogs (and most other animals too) and I doubt cats or dogs are much smarter then cows either. We made up the difference between pets and cattle. If a guy wants to keep a cow as a pet, let him do so, and if a guy for some reason wants to eat dogs, let him do so.

Dogs aren't friends, they're animals. And just like all other animals (humans included) they are edible. What on earth could the difference possibly be between eating a bird, a dog, or a person? It's meat! No matter what animal you choose, it's all meat.

I'm not a fan of eating dogs either, but i agree with the rest that the same could be said about other animals.
