Why Is a Raven like a Writing Desk?

Recommended Posts

1. Because Ravens are amongst the most intelligent birds and intelligence is often associated with writing and thus a writing desk.

2. The desk could be black...

3. There is no 3.

Damn. When I was playing American McGee's Alice, the hatter asks that, but you never get the answer from him.

When is a croquet mallet like a billy club? Wheneer you want it to be. ;)

Alice is an excellent game, by the way.

That's the whole point Vanguard ;) They leave you hanging, so make up your own answer.

EDIT: By the way, this was in the original works of Alice in Wonderland as well.

Why is a Raven like a Writing Desk you ask?

  • [+]Because neither will get you where you want to go. A raven is too small to carry you and a desk just doesn't move ... duh
[+]Because a Yeti will eat both ... it's a yeti do you really think he cares what he eats? (btw- I hear they like chocolate pop-tarts fresh out the freezer)
[+]Because NeMa can find grammatical errors in both ... what can't he thereof.
[+]Because Nav will undoubtedly make a complaint thread about the two ... whether his desk is to small or his RavenBlack book didn't come in the mail expect to see a thread.
[+]Because one or more members will leave and come back with Raven or Desk in their name and say they are their younger brother/cousin/niece/neighbor-across-the-way and just wanted to say hi.
[+]Because VG3K has played AM-Alice (so I have) and Acriku owns a dress like Alice in wonderland (so do I .... I don't think I should have used this example but if the dress fits)
[+]Because Lowzeewee, Heer is Dragoon, and King Megagimpawhateveryhisnameisthisweek will spam both of Navs Raven and Desk threads ... who didn't see that coming?
[+]Because neither could tie your hat on your head for you ... if either could then Mahdi wouldn't be looking for his.
[+]Because neither can drive an ice truck very well ... Mahdi Ice truck? Is that who killed the Indian and the Waitress?
[+]Because neither will fit in my wallet ... well they won't
    [+]Because a Raven is to a desk as a Cat is to a TV-tray.
[+]Because both are hard to catch ... those darn Ravens are just to fast and a desk hurts when thrown at you ^-^ (best on yet eh?)

[offtopic]I really like AM-Alice it's kinda like a dark/demonic Alice in Wonderland[/offtopic]

Perhaps the answer isn't in how, which isn't the question but in why, which is.

Why is a raven like a writing desk? Because it wants to be!

Or because fate/evolution/god has a warped sense of humour...

- neither of them can actually write

- both are less intelligent than humans (so they say anyway...)

- both are evil, a raven is black and is often mistaken for an evil creature, a writingdesk is evil on itself, as

you can only do evil things with it... example: You can write strategic battle plans on them, you can draw evil

comics on them, and it is a weapon on it's own as you can smash a human head with it.

- Ravens use writing desks? Anyone can confirm this?

- When the world was created, the god made a raven, and out of a ravens feather, he made a desk

because a raven inspired the inventor of the writing desk? the raven looks like a writing desk at a certain angle? or is the answer.. if a raven had to fight a writing desk one on one it would end up as a draw?

The simple answer is that the raven realised that maximum enjoyment in its life would come about by becoming like a writing desk. The raven's reasoning is that the point of its existence is to enjoy itself ands thus it became similar to a writing desk.

What we "see" is the way our brain interprets the information it receives from our eyes. Therefore, visual images are a mere interpretation of the world, and not an objective representation of the world as it really is. So the concepts of "raven" and "writing desk" exist only in our minds. That is why they are alike.

Hehe. ;)
