Wow, look what I just found. :)

This is an online text-based role playing game (although a very unconventional one) in which you create your own nation and take political decisions for your people... but the REAL fun is in the huge community around it! Check out the forums - they're filled with people, and everyone plays his/her role of political leader to perfection.

There's also the UN, the members of which may vote on propositions and resolutions.

This is my nation, The Holy Empire of Constantinopolis.

Beware of the Empire of Menelmacar, though. They are powerful, extremely arrogant imperialists who act like they own the world. >:(

...and unfortunately, I have to warn you that the server is very slow. :-

Ah, but this is politics, Ex... MY world. You Ottomans always sucked at diplomacy and political intrigue, and that's what this game is all about.

But why don't we put our old animosities aside and join forces against the Menelmacar? :)

For some reason the server stopped working for right now... but I'm LMAO looking at your country description, Edric:

The Holy Empire of Constantinopolis is a small, safe nation, remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 7 million enjoy great social freedoms and frequent elections, where the majority of the populace regularly votes to increase its benefits at the expense of various hapless minorities.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Religion & Spirituality, although Law & Order and Social Welfare are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 63%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

It is illegal to make racist remarks in public, Harry Potter books are banned, euthanasia is illegal, and meat-eating is frowned upon. Crime is well under control, thanks to a well-funded police force. Constantinopolis's national animal is the eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the - none -.

Here's mine for right now:

The Empire of Phonexia is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed population of 5 million are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The large government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 29%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Retail.

Crime is moderate. Phonexia's national animal is the bull, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the fenie.

We PUNISH and DESTROY web servers like nationstates.net that have 56k dial-up bandwidth.

We believe that if you host a web site, you need more than a modem. You need T1 or better.

Intolerant imperialist? Moi?? Of course not! I only wish to free your people from an evil tyrant. You know, like your exhaulted Bush wants to do with Iraq.... (it's not so much fun being on the receiving end, eh? :) )

For now I'm engaged in a space race with the elves of Menelmacar. The Holy Empire of Constantinopolis wishes to claim new worlds for all Mankind, before those pathetic elves seize them for their own selfish purposes! To this end, we have created the ICSA - The International Communist Space Agency. :)

That analogy is false, because Empr is just beginning. You should employ diplomatic attempts at resolving the situation, as we tried with Iraq 11 or so years ago. As we tried with Korea a while ago. Etc.

But anyways, this sounds cool. Sucks it's so slow, I'm still getting annoyed at Darkgalaxy's server. Bleh. But I will try to make one tonight if I have time, kudos for the heads up :)

I say bleeeh to whoever runs this site. If they really cared for their site they would get a decent server.

Crap, this way it isn't even fun! I managed to create a nation, Macedonie (Macedonia was taken), but the slowness of this site p1sses me off beyond words.

Plus, it didn't turn out the way I wanted. I wish you could make your own description of your nation.
