First off, watch the language Empr. Those descriptions could have easily have been avoided to allow a mature atmosphere in this thread. Second, to some people being nude on nude beaches (perfectly legal) is their way of life, so if you don't want to watch them naked, get the heck off the sands! I do think that if you know about your disease you should be punished if you have sex without protection (and thus deliberately infect another). Like people who have aids and still have unsafe sex, I think those should be punished. Not for murder mind you, because aids is no longer necessarily lethal.

And about the indecency thing. I think nobody should be allowed to walk naked in a public place, but that's punishable in most countries anyway. But if someone wears a slutty dress, or clothes that barely cover anything, should they be punished?

Just because I don't believe in "your" god, doesn't mean I lack morals. I would not want to have a STD, or my partner to have one if I have one that I don't know about, and I certainly am not ready for a baby so I wouldn't want to go through abortion or perhaps ruin my partner's life and mine by going straight into supporting the baby all day everyday.

Actually, public indecency carries large fines in the United States, except in places like night clubs, with permits. (Though, somehow, I doubt the morality of permits for such things.)

bah! and enjoying decent beaches happens to be my way of life. Thats a bad argument. And I'll watch the language this time. If people want to expose their genitalia, anus, penis, vaginas, they should do so in the nice privacy of their own property out of public view. Naked people walking around on a public beach might as well be walking around on a public street, might as well be walking around a public mall. THere really is no difference. Either put something on, or stay out of public.

I am trying to be euphemistic, and use words like indecency to mean 'sleeping around'. That sort of thing, whether or not STDs are spread, children are created from it, and so on occurs, should carry fines or other punishment. Obviously, knowingly ad therefore effectively deliberately causing the side-effects will carry larger punishments.
