Anathema
I'm a mod noob...but what does supressed mean for infantry ???
Frodo
the ability to be crushed or run over. :)
Ghosty_Square
No, when they get shot infantry tend to start to crawl. That means they are suppressed
Frodo
I'm sorry, crushable=true is the ability to be run over by a tank. :-[
nemafakei
Leto's right- the siege tank is really pointless. Give it a bigger range, and more damage, sufficiently so that it metits a cost of, say, 1200.
Anathema
Actually it's pretty useful against Ordos, against wich the Lion Tank sucks. But it's only useful because there is no better alternative.
Edric O
The Elite Sard is a great alternative, actually. But you are right. I designed the Siege Tank to be something very cheap that you use en-masse... perhaps that was the wrong approach.
Anathema
Of course. But, (I'm not an expert, thoug) if he throws in kobras you're in trouble. I've tried keeping a couple of lion tanks to counter any kobras, but it's not always easy to keep them from attacking laser tanks.
Edric O
You could always get air support from Golden Eagles. But you are right, it does require lots of micro-management (for your Elite Sards and Lion Tanks).Edit: Hmmm, why didn't you just take your Lion Tanks off guard? That solves your problem... Anathema
Because it never crossed my mind. I never really used the guard toggle function except for stealth units.*slaps head for not having thought of that*
Edric O
Okay, I guess this means we'll have to remind you about it in the Readme. ;D
Edric O
So, doesn't anyone have any suggestions for the subhouse combination units? ???And what other things would you like to see in KH3?
Anathema
How about Ordos-Ix = chaos infiltrator? The explosion makes nearby units berserk.(make this one expensive)
DukeLeto
So, doesn't anyone have any suggestions for the subhouse combination units? ???And what other things would you like to see in KH3?Do it so so to choose red, you click red. Look in CR to see how. ;)
Edric O
He he, we already know how. :) Ghosty is also working on a very special surprise for KH3... if it works, it will bring KH3 to the level of a true expansion pack. IF it works, that is...Earthnuker, that's not how we're gonna do it. We're not going to make House+Subhouse combination units, we will make Subhouse+Subhouse combinations. Example: I'm thinking of making a Demolition Quad (Ix+Smugglers combo) - a Quad with an Infiltrator bomb strapped on to it. (deploy to detonate)

IF it works, that is...Not if you can't find a way add a new side. the Expanson should propbably continue the storyline, and nuking Caladan into non-existance really soesn't do that...Given the events in Dune have to happen in 200 years. ;)
Edric O
The events of Dune have to happen? No way, unless you can explain to me how did all the tanks and guns in Emperor suddenly dissapear in favour of swords and knives...Let's face it: The Emperor storyline has nothing to do with the real Dune storyline. So the destruction of Caladan is a perfectly good story event. :)And the surprise isn't about adding a fourth House. It's something completely different. ;)
Dunenewt
How about the Siege Tank draws the enemy fire ie: AiThreat=
Apollyon
that wouldnt quite work in multiplayer tho.
Dunenewt
Why wouldn't it?By Multiplayer do you mean just Human v Human
Apollyon
yes, as in LAN or internet play without AI.

They don't The Harkonnen and Sardaukar still use guns, remember?2. Bah. Read the Official FAq.3. Well, if it doesn't put Atreides back in, it's not going to make me any happier. ;)
Edric O
GUNS?? No way! There are no such things as guns in the novel. And the Dune storyline says that high speed projectile weapons (such as guns) haven't been used for millenia... so Emperor doesn't fit the storyline anyway.
Inoculator9
Of course there are guns. In the first book the Atreides palace is taken over by Sardaukar armed with projectile guns. The Fremen use Maula pistols and if I'm not mistaken the honored matre's "secret weapon" was a projectile. But this isn't the point of this thread, I just felt compeled to comment. Ghosty_Square
Guns were used in the books, but nothing like the guns in emperor. They were obsolete, and useless against shielded targets. The only useful guns were those that could fire special projectiles which slowed down before impact to penetrate.Furthermore, Dune storyline has nothing to do with the Emperor storyline. They are parallel, and in no way could the events of Dune occur after Emperor.
