Which actor do you think makes the best James Bond? Here are the actors along with the numbers of the movies they were in.

Sean Connery (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7)

George Lazenby (6)

Roger Moore (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14)

Timothy Dalton (15, 16)

Pierce Brosnan (17, 18, 19, 20)

I think Roger Moore made the best James Bond, but he probably wasn't the best actor to do him.

I'm going for Roger Moore. I just love all the movies where he plays Bond. The atmosphere is just so great when he plays.. don't get me wrong.. the others did very well also.. but Roger Moore is just my favorite

So, Brosnan is doing nice job, altough his behavior isn't very natural, how Connery showed. But today's bondtales are best due to visual effects. What else can be nice on such movie.

After long thoughts, I should say Pierce Brosnan. But he is closely followed by the others except for George Lazenby. I can't judge about Lazenby, because he made only 1 movie, and it wasn't only his faulth that it was a less-good one (all bondmovies are good!)

Hehe, Casino Royale, anyone familliar with the title :P? Anyways, I think Bronsnan did a great job in Golden Eye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Then in World is not Enough was just, well, not bond when he plays "cold". Die Another Day was both good and bad. First: the ideas (the sattelite, the DNA xchange, the diamonds and the electric suit) was very, well, childish. It's like those old James Bond Jr. adventures, when Bond had like a watch that he could look back in time with, and the bad guy was always some kind of super human (etc diamonds in his face, no eye etc). Moore did the best movies I think, Connery did Bond with a feeling, Dalton was like "Bond in Action", and Lazenbury was no special, altough I can't complain on him, he did just one movie :P.

Good book that... What a shame it was never made into a film... I wonder why? ::)

Nonetheless, I think Brosnan is the best. Followed by Moore and Dalton. I never saw the one with Lazenby and forgive my sagrelige but I never thought Connery was THAT good...

It was made into a film. Barry Nelson played James Bond in a television version of it, David Niven and Woody Allen stared as Bond in a feature film version of it. Not sure how they worked out having two different actors play the one character inthes ame movie, never having seen it myself. Wonder if it took place in diffrent times?

P.S. I'm not asking if the book tookplace in different times, very little of any bond book ever made it onto the screen.

There are two movies I did not include when I started this thread: Never Say Never Again starring Sean Connery and Casino Royale starring David Niven and Peter Sellers. Why I did this is because the official James Bond site (www.007.com) does not include them as part of the 007 films.

I wonder what the name of the next Bond movie might be? "Never, ever say Never again", "Might I ever say Never again" or "Die Golden Tomorrow Day"? LOL! Imagine how it would look like on the official 007.com site, LOL! "Pierce Bronsnan is James Bond, who is a secret agent, who likes girls and martini-wiskey (what's his drink again?), in DIE GOLDEN TOMORROW DAY". No, really, I didn't think the trailer was good to DAD, altough it's the movie that counts :P...
