Does anyone here play red alert?? I mean the first game that came in 96, I need someone to give me feedback about a mod I am making..

i play it from time to time, but my computer is too fast for it, and so its hard to control. i like RA2 and Yuris revenge better

yes i used to play it like crack....but now i have a new computer with windows XP and now i cant play it.

any idea how to? ???

i used to be quite good at it(although never played multiplayer).

if you want to slow it down use a program similar to moslo that can simulate processor speeds.

its not that, it wont let me install it. it says windows 5.1 is currently running and that it will only run on win95.

i dislike winxp a lot, i like win98 the best( it is what i had for 5 years on old computer.icould play dos games on it.)

imstall in compatibility mode then get the c&c gold dll patch at westwood.com, and the patch, then play in compatibilit mode

right click on setup.exe in windows explorer and choose properties.

in one of the tabs you can say that it has to be started with win95 or something like that... select that and it'll work.

after i installed it still didn't work on my comp, but after i installed the aftermath it did. I hope you have that

it is working now, i forgot to change compatability mode for the program.

Curiosly, RA1 DOS mode works fine in XP, without pathces or compatability, mode, but win95 mode does not. :O

DOS is more advanced than win95 8)

well, i'm glad i got it to work under windows though... it looks a lot better

yes that is the best video game song i can think of...it gets you pumped up a lot! and the video for it is cool(in red alert).

Aftermath good, Counter strike wrong! i hate that expansion except for one little thing. The ant missions :) those kicked ass.. but the rest sucked badly

Red alert works fine in 95 mode in XP, you don't need dos.

Counterstrike rules, aftermath is too easy, I completed the whole god damn thing in a few weeks.

but I haven't finished counterstrike yet. but the ant missions are easy.
