OK i just started a new ordos/hark song for the game. Need opinions

I started it tonight. Since this is a work in progress, I am willing to listen to some feedback and I will try and tailor the song to what you guys want. This is far from the final product. Here is what I came up with so far. It is TOTALLY skeletal, which is why I'm posting it so you guys can tell me what kind of stuff to put in it.

Its an indian/guru/hindu theme. Maybe ordos?

I mean I can just imagine kicking back and spanking atreides with my ordos units while this plays in the background. hehe

Ive never written anything like this b4.

So Anyway, what do you think? Good enough to continue working? Sucky and delete the piece of crap? I only spent 3 hours on it so trust me it wont break my heart if it sucks royally. Not sure if i like the bass line but I couldnt think of anything to go with that crazy beat.

Update:

an ordos sample mix is up. Its only 2 minutes long, so its unfinished. I dont want to finish it unless it sounds good enough to pass. Keep in mind I'm not doing a major composition here I whipped this thing up in 3 hours so thats pretty fast. At any rate, if its good enough, I'll add some more stuff to it and make it 5 minutes long and do some touch ups to increase the quality.

if it still sux for ordos, then I'm jumping ship! :P

Emprworm, there's nothing wrong with the track, however I think you should make it sound more electronic rather than instrumental. The Ordos music in Emperor Battle for Dune all have a sort of 'electronic' sound IMO, so perhaps your song would go well with them if it didn't stand out so much perhaps? The rhythm of the song is fine, if it's going to be for House Ordos. ;)

And if you didnt like it. Post a better review than "it sucks" If you want it to be better. tell him what you think should be. If there is one thing I hate reading is reviews on fics that just say. "this sucks learn to wright." What could be better. What didnt you like. ect

I thought it sounded good. Needs to be a little more tecno'ish than instumental for ordos

It's good, but as others say it isn't Ordoshy. And ignoring negative criticism inhibits the point of asking for an honest opinion since all you want to hear is it sounds good. Or you just don't bother with Nav at all, then fine by me mwahahaha.

It if isn't too much of a bother, try to make it a little longer as well, say maybe 5+ mins? :- Another thing, I've added names in the rock to the Ordos skirmish music, but it plays much more softly than the normal Ordos music. Any idea why? ???

you can try editing the ordos common txt music from vol 6 to 10 it may help.

i had to redo the two corrino tracks due to the same problem.

that song was very short because it was only a sample. i only made 30 seconds worth of music cuz i didnt want to work 2 days on a song that no one wanted. now i have to start something else cuz ppl want more techno.

but i warn you, if you want techno, you're gonnna get it...big time.

Well just because people say they want something to be more 'technoish' doesn't mean that you go and overdo it with some completely hardcore music that could cause PC speakers to short circuit. Just edit the original Oasis track and make it sound more electronic. Replace the strings with some electronic sounding stuff. :P

ahhh, well good idea about the oasis track. Maybe i'll add some techno leads with some background distortion...hmmm...good idea.
