Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis; would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before scrolling down to the answers.

Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates.

Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extramarital affairs.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer...

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt

Candidate B is Winston Churchill

Candidate C is Adolph Hitler

And by the way, regarding the abortion question -- if you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

These questions are indeed very mean, but still you can't blame for people who say abortus + can. C.

The whole problem is, is that you don't have the information then (when reading those questions) which we know now (after the answers)

You can never blame a person for something, if you don't know exactly what his/her situation was.

That's something what gets very clear in these questions.

You must actually think about people who voted for the other options (the 'anwers'). Aren't they wrong, because the way they judge with the information given...

I've heard this one before. The information given is stupid. I mean, you would never choose a leader based entirely on their habbits and history. Anybody can be jaded...

But it's quite a surprise.

Hmm, yes on the first question I think she should abort. Not because the child does not have the right to live or something, but becasue I think she, and anyone else, is feeling sorry for her and her children.

Th world leader? Hmm... actually, I would vote for C.

Yes, it does...

The phrase "decorated war hero" in the description of candidate C put me on guard. The difference between war heroes and war criminals depends only on whether they were on the winning side (war heroes) or the losing side (war criminals).

Or, in other words, history is written by the winners.

Yes I know it can be seen as unfair but, hey, I didn't write it and it's just meant to be a joke in anycase. Yes he was a corpral in the Bavarian regiment in the German army as a front line messenger.

I chose Yes, and as for the multiple choice thing, I choose none of them because I wouldn't base any vote on this amount of information.

But, the yes/no question is no argument against abortion. Beethoven must have been like a 1 on 2,000 people case. Or even smaller.

I didn't answer because I saw this before...

And, that first question is a once-in-a-millenia chance and is stupid. It wasn't the mother's fault her children were unfortunate, so why should we stop her because of it?

And the second one is so stupid I passed right by it. I would never vote for someone because of their past, I would vote because of their issues.

Haven't they been researching Hitler's life and found he had affairs? Oh wait, he got married and then committed suicide so he didn't have time to commit and affair while married.

You don't need to be married to cheat on your girlfriend. But regarding the questions, for one Im divided. Should you deny someone life, but to give them life would likely mean a horrible existence. Beethoven was abused horribly by his father, and was only rarely happy. The only person who knows wether it was worth it was him. For two, you can't base an opinion on a person's lifestyle.

In a case like this you should say yes- it is morally wrong to take 8 children in this world anyway, and if there is a big chance it will be physicly or mentally handicapped you should go for abortion IMO.
