zispin
OK, it's obvious the timeline of the books and prequels, I was just wondering how and where Emporer fits into it?
TMA_1
about a hundred or so years before I believe
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Its in the years 10190, but its preety funny, cos Baron Vladimir was born in 10110 and died in 10193. And in Dune Encyclopedia is wrote that Gunseng was Vladimir`s father.
zispin
I've never been able to work out how the Duke Atreides was black?!
quoudam72
Well you see there was this thing with Duke's great great grandmother who's father was of African descent. It's a long story and was a family secret until recently. There was such a scandal about you know the mixing of the races, but one does have to remember that the Mediterranean Sea area is not that far from Northern Africa. :-X
Gobalopper
Heh, well quondam is almost right. :)According to WW Emperor is just an "alternate" universe that resembles the Lynch movie as that is what they have the rights too.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Well, they could make another year at least, I mean, the read the books, cos in game is a lot things that wasn`t in movie. But in the whole thing, doesn`t matter.
gunner154
WW modified a lot of things. The Kindjal turned into a mortar-like cannon cum bazooka which is so accurate!
zispin
Am I right in thinking it was originally a knife?
nemafakei
Helena Atreides was indeed of African Origin. But, as has been said, Emp does not fit in at all.
Caid Ivik
Am I right in thinking it was originally a knife?Kindjal is a long knife with curved blade. That's in our dictionary, and also I have one kindjal - very sharp.

nemafakei
More than that! Butterknives are up to 6"! You need a certain length to actually carry some cutting edge, mentioned so early on.

Acriku
LOL sorry Ex, but imagining a 3 inch crysknife cracks me up. Yeah to be realistic somewhere around 7-10 inches IMO.
Dante
Its in the years 10190, but its preety funny, cos Baron Vladimir was born in 10110 and died in 10193. nemafakei
Ah.. but which book? I seem to recall there was another discrepancy here...Having thought about it, Ex, it could have been a small sandworm... a sort of crysknife for a fremen baby... Lord J
Klingon children are declared warriors as soon as they can hold a knife...Here's a picture of a Russian/Turkish Kindjal dagger, it says on the website it is 16" long with an 11" blade. GhostHunter
Getting back onto subject, Emperor does not fit in at all, read the books anyways, the Emperor really falls after Maud'Dib, House Corrino doesnt all end at the hand of one bene gerrist.Until next post, Vilgent.
