Wich gaming console is the best?

There are many types out now, wich is the best (not physical best like the XBox but best on games controllers  ++)

Sega Dreamcast

I think GameCube and XBox are the greatest...

PS2 is the best: some reasons:

1. Best game developers behind them.

2. Has the highest current support.

3. Unlike GameCube, can play DVD's and CD's

4. Wide selection of games already.

5. Nintendo can't think of any new titles.

1. That's your opinion, however most of PS2 games are converting to X-Box (article of Computer Gaming Monthly).

2. Xbox and Gamecube are almost brand new, you can't get that much support that quickly.

3. GameCube might be coming out with extended hardware, so who knows. Xbox can play DVD and CD's :)

4. As said in point 1, many games are yet to come.

5. Nintendo can actually, it's just that being the best for a long while kind of soaks up all your thought. We shall wait and see, after all GC is coming out with a lot of games, it'll just be a while.

So Xbox rules!

I declare war to all consoles. PC forever!! well.... no if i must be honest.... i don't know much about consoles. I do know that dreamcast is ok since it has soul calibur :-). Also ps2 and xbox may be quite nice... but still.... in my opinion it can't match pc cuz of internet and mouse. If someone would play let's say quake 3 with the dreamcast online than he would literally be asskicked by pc users since it is a lot easyer to control on the pc

PS2 has a muchlarger selection of game Genre. And I know you will all say, GC and XB are new, so they haven't had time. But even with the N64 and the PSX, PSX had a much larger selection of games.

That has no reflection on these new consoles because it takes time to bring out these games, and strategy-wise, and it is a fact that a lot more games will be hauled out.

I am a nintendo freak from way back. I was the type that talked about final fantasy and the dragon warrior series. that was obsessed with ultima and stuff.lol now days game machines suck compared to computers. I dont like x-box because of their huge controllers. they are just dumb. I think the gamecube has a lot of potential and the ps2 is cool. I like the gamecube though.

Yea, but Gaming Consols are made to be none-upgradable. Wiht a Computer. You have to spend thousands upgrading your computer everytime a new Game Comes out. With consoles, you just put it in and play it.

Computers cost more because they are better :) And who does that? I have had mine for 4 years no upgrades and I can play a lot of the games out. And with consoles, you have to decide which console to get, computer games are universal (pc games, the majority).

X-box but I agree the controller is much too big it should be smaller. But no console will ever touch PC.  :P

PC has by far the most games. Even if a good game for the console comes out like Final Fantasy (not my favorite but just an example) or GTA3 or driver it comes out for the pc. And usually the pc version is better than the console version.

But think that x-box would be the best console that i know... not cuz it is the fastest. but because it's getting a lot of good games. Halo for example and many many more are coming. And microsoft is so big that it can support all of that easily. Ok x-box is large compared to the other consoles.. but so is pc compared to MAC and still pc is more popular

Who nees a dvd player, i already got one and ps2's dvd player are bad.

If you live in Japan Panasonic or some else has made a version of gamecube, bigger but can play dvd movies.

PC is best (of cause)

then GameCube (the same ideas but it is cool to play retro games with new graphic and so...)

XBox cool gaming machine, but its the only of the "new" (this genretation) of machines who has stopped working so i had to reset it.

PS2 Dont have a game under 13+ rating exept the racing games. And it has the 2 most pointless games (my opinion): GTA3 and State of Emergency

So PS2 is....number 3

I used to play my Dreamcast and before taht it was playstation.  But since i got my PC those things have collected dust  ;D

Reasons:

1. Largest Corporate backing

2. Most Gaming companys backing it

3. Difinitive games (Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2, Grand Theft Auto 3.....)

4.It just plain kicks @$$ 8)

I wouldnt count on that sniper. companies like squaresoft are going back to nintendo. gamecube is going to kick ass.

Many PS2 games are coming to x-box as well. GTA3 for example

One thing TMA_1 forgot to mention.  Squaresoft has already set up it's own internet gaming service for Final Fantasy XI (only for the PS2).  And has already lined up 3 more Final Fantasy titles for PS2.  Just because they make one game for another console doesn't mean they're leaving PS2 (which they aren't).

Exaterides may be right about Grand Theft auto, but PS2 has too many influential game that won't be converted over.  Plus Sony has several key Companys that do the majority of their games (mainly the good one)  on PS2. 8)
