A while ago there was this forum that I and a bunch of other people regurally visited. But there was no moderator. Then some idiot came along and posted topics called "Spam", till the whole page was filled with it  >:(.

They never send me spam-mail  :'( , just this one company. They sended me 3 emails, but I was kind enough to reply to them. [ he, no one said that you can't send him 5.000 emails back per email he has sended you ;D ]

As I said, there was no moderator on that board. We were forced to bump topics when they got burried under spam. Then that spam idiot spammed the board again  >:(.

Well, I know moderator, that I moderate with him webside and board, and he write spam by himself. On his side spam is nothing wrong, sometimes I have problem, I can`t ban him, so I often write post to people there, and watch them they send me massages on my e-mail. :P . But now its quite normal, spam almost end, moderator has exams and aren`t on board...

To avoid spam in a inbox u use, just sign up everywhere with an other email you only use for signing up for something online. Now my 2 !used! inboxes are completely spamless, and my special spaminbox is filled with

1% mail from forums etc.

Yes but that doesn't help webmasters like me, who post their e-mail as a contact on their webpage. That way cyber-spiders grab it and add it to their list, which is annoying.

You could always write a perl or php script to hide your email address, if you're running a website that is.

True, but what does a guy who doesn't know (but wishes to learn it without a jargon-filled tutorial :)) it and uses geocities with doesn't allow without paying do? You could do a little ASCII but then people would have to copy/paste or memorize it and my job is to keep them happy.
