Guest Ordos_Yogurt
create a burning wall. good for destroying massed infantry. spill some inkivine and set it aflame. all infantry that'll try to pass will turn into fresshly smoked steaks. mmmmmmm-mmmmmmmmm stakes
quoudam72
Ummmmmm....o.k. but how are the infantry going to get pass does the wall have an entrance? What is the purpose of this strategy defense or offense? I don't understand how it is to be used against your opponent.
Guest Ordos_Yogurt
The wall is strictly a defensive tactic. The thing about it is that it DOES NOT let infantry in. they would simply burst in flames if they tried it!only use this against a newbie or a computer player, for having fun when youre bored. Guest Ordos_Yogurt
then doo this. get the inkys to shoot the stuff, while your flame tanks burn the space ahead of them.
bob_fox
That takes too long. (Plus I don't like Harkonnen, so there!)

Guest Ordos_Yogurt
I once crashed the game attempting this! I built too many devastators, carryalls and gunships
quoudam72
Too much graphic animation for the computer to handle. Has anyone here attempted to use this strategy since the last post?
alphabeta4000
what is this wall thing got to do with strategy?
quoudam72
Your suppose to put inkvine on the wall to set it a blaze so infanrty can't pass the wall. That is the strategy.
evilbaronatreides
how the heck does that work? ill try it if i can learn how to do it.
quoudam72
It's just for fun or against a newbie or computer because it does not stay ablaze for but maybe 5 seconds at the most.
nemafakei
I've used a version before. It can also be used to great effect when besieging an enemy.
quoudam72
That sounds more effective (using a tactic like this while besieging the enemy) than the version Ordos posted but then you are using it in a different manner than him. Nema explain your version of the 'afterburner'.
Phyrex
Duh,That smelly goo from a Inkvine won't stay/burn long ofcource that's why you force fire.Keep the Inkvine shooting at one place and burn the stuff ONCE. Every time the Inkvine shoots again it will replace the old "patch" and keeps buring.I already tried it before (this topic) and it looks fun to see 10 inkvine creating an inferno. However it's extremely weak. ;)
ordos45
I use this strategy when I have reduced the enemy to infantry and have nothing better to do, a few dozen force fire inkvines and a force fire flamethrower infantry and whoosh.
