US Secretary of State Colin Powell has reportedly submitted his resignation.

That's too bad. I really liked him. Hopefully he runs for President someday if he isn't as disgusted with politics as the rest of us are.

Well, I'm certainly not sorry to see him go... then again, that might change depending on who is going to be his replacement.

As for Powell running for president, he'd better get in line - there are many others (even in the current American political landscape) who would make far better presidents than him.

Arnold for President!

They are trying to change it so that foreigners can be president. How stupid is that? Might as well change the minimum age you need to be, to be president.

Actually it makes a lot of sense, especially if the "foreigners" in question have been US citizens for decades.

The original reason why the Constitution did not allow people born in other countries to run for president was because the founding fathers were afraid of having a foreign aristocrat move to America and buy his way to the White House, then turn the US into a monarchy with himself as king. Needless to say, this danger is long gone.

Of course, "Arnold for president" sounds like a scenario for the apocalypse, but there are many other foreign-born US citizens who shouldn't be forbidden to run for president on the basis of a long-outdated 200 year-old rule.

Powell is too wishy washy, and would not have the right mettle in my opinion to make a good president. I really really really do not like him at all.lol

Well, you all seem to like Blair... a lot more than we do.

Funnily enough, that seems to be why a lot of other people like him.

condolezza rice would make a great secretary of state. She is level headed and pretty brilliant. I have liked what she has done so far with the administration.

This should be interesting to watch - oh look there's the diversity of opinion within the cabinet going out the window! Anyone catch it? Huh? Huh?  ::) There are advantages to having a close-knit cabinet with all of the same ideas and opinions, but at what cost? A well-oiled machine has the disadvantage of not using other parts, meaning this cabinet will not be able to bring in opinions from all sides into the discussion for better assessments of what to do. This is bad, in my opinion.
