So what are you plans for Canada Day (if in Canada) and Independence Day (if in U.S.).

Heres my hopeful schedule:

Wednesday June 30 -> Finish work by the start of the afternoon, then go to my charlottetown apt. and start having some drinks. :) Later on go to April Wine and Hootie and the Blowfish concert.

Thursday July 1 -> Maybe go to fireworks and concerts. Stay in town.

Friday July 2 -> Probably go to concert. The Trews and Sam Roberts are playing. The Trews are an awsome band, seen them at the end of this April.

Saturday July 3 -> Would like to go to the Shaye and "Live" concert, but instead am going to a stag party. This involves golfing around 11 AM with 24 people and then back to the cottage to party all day and night.

Hopefully won't have to work at all Sunday, or even monday ;)

I dont do a whole lot that week...but theres still a few things...

The week following up to the 4th there is a festival in my town where this one section of downtown gets converted into fair grounds and a big tent goes up and there is a barbacue and drinks and live music.....its a pretty fun place to sit and hang out with your mates....also pretty good to pick up chics.... :)

The main event is on the 4th around 8:30 pm my family and I get in our 1967 Mustang and drive to the highschool parking lot where we sit and watch the fireworks. Afterwords I go home and pretty much party with some friends. My plan is to have a few buddies spend the night so we can hang out all day and then catch the fireworks and then just go to my place and party.

All and all its just a pretty relaxed week....I dont have to work that week/weekend so I am quite looking forward to it. Just a time to chill with m8's and have some pride in the good ole U.S of A. God bless America!

Woo!  I'll be working at Majors Hill Park, right near Parliament Hill and the Chateau Laurier (and the American Embassy, which always reminds me of Nineteen Eighty-Four's Ministry of Love, for some reason).  That's great, because the pay for Canada Day is about twice normal, if not more.

Keep the peace Vanguard! Keep those hooligans in line... :)

I just found out today that insted of going to the High School parking lot to view the fireworks we are going to go out on our new boat and view them on the lake. Thats going to be quite fun! Good to change it up.....

[inebriated]The day after Canada day, partied hard with friends (most intoxicated in a month) and got a stag tomorrow, golf in 9 hours from now, then most inebriated in a long time.

This will be a joyous and a sad time. Joyous becuase of a marriage and sad because of the husband's mother's death before last Christmas. Same will be with the wedding.

omg looks like a party at the lighthouse, no at graham's head!! hope to find out what went on last night. lots of stories.[/inebriated]

May be edited at a later time. :)

Well I had a decent night guarding the stage at Major's Hill Park in the... ugh... O-Dot.  I got a primo seat for the fireworks, which beat the hell out of anything I had ever seen in my hometown out in the rhubarb.  I didn't see much of it, because I was keeping an eye on the crowd and stuff, though.  I do thank fireworks for two things, though.

1)  The pretty light they give off, allowing me to check out the ladies even in the middle of the night in an otherwise dim park.

2)  The deafening noise they give off, which masked the sound when I farted this one time.

Anyway, I then supersized my shift by volunteering to stay until 0600, which unfortunately wasn't on the holiday hours anymore.  I was figuratively tethered to a tent full of expensive electronics during all the action.  One of the other guards, while roaming caught a threesome about to take place in one of the empty tents, and kicked them off-site, and also caught a girl apparently performing oral sex on her male companion... in a tree.

Overall, it was a fun night, since I at least got to hear about all of this stuff on the radio, as well as see one incident involving a very inebriated man who had passsed out in the bushes, from where I was posted.  I only wish I had gotten to be a part of the action more.

Thanks for not kicking me.

Haha, you said O-dot.

My friends from Walkerton came up, left a couple hours ago.

That was a hella bender.

I'm never going to drink again.

I'm never going to drink again.

Im sure that promise will last..... ::)

Anyways,

My fireworks show over the lake while in my boat plan was foiled by bad weather......So we went to a local festival.

My guitar instructors band was playing so I wanted to go see him play. He was amazing....as was the rest of the band. Got myself a cd!  :)

Today I will be going to a 4th of July party in about an hour.....then tonight I will be doing the classic viewing of the fireworks from the parking lot of my school.

Seems ex had a few too many when he posted that one....

But yes,

Happy fourth of july everybody!

I had a great one, I went to a party at a friends house and we had a barbacue and fishing all day and then at night we shot off fireworks and about 2000 bottle rockets...

And then when it got really dark....all the towns around us had there fireworks displays. So from our spot I saw fireworks from the 7 surrounding towns....It was amazing to be surrounded on all sides by enoroumous fireworks of every color. As they were all going off I really thought to myself how happy I am to be alive and how fortunate I am to be living in the USA. I felt such national pride....it was really cool...

I sure do love the good ol U S of A....

Happy 4th guys!
