problems with connecting

it's not the blasterworm...... i had that on my comp 2 weeks ago... that doesnt' do that, the blaster worm comes up with a message every few minutes saying that your comp has to shut down in 1 minute for some reason that it lists.... it's always the same... all it is is a very annoying worm, if you think you might have it then look for a file called msblast.exe on your c: drive. if you have it then you have the worm... IM me if you think you have the worm, i'll tell you where to go to get a program to download that will remove it from the comp.

btw: the worm does not affect Win 95/98 or windows ME or Linux/Unix.

my guess is that there are just some technical difficulties, i remember this has happened several times in the past.

>:(At EA technical support there answered questions are not about this problem we are having and under Ask a Question it just says when u submit it that we no longer provide personal support for this game title and well duh Emperor is not under Live Help. :P So anyone know of a possible way that we can get direct help from them even though it may not be possible. :(

hi Jeff, please read thread 23 on part 1 of this thread, I posted the EA tech help e-mail address, you can also be crafty and use another newer Game support to report to EA about their shitty servers.

That's how I got an answer from them at all ! lol

can't even get a game everytime just locks up comp!

till get a solution no point logging on, personally i think this is EAs way of finally killing game off.

shame its not on gamespy >:( and yet :'(

Looks like everyones having same problem maybe its time to move on.Its been like this for well over a week now I will give it a few more days.Even if we change servers its going to be very quiet,I think emperor on its last leg.

emperor only dying coz noone can get a game >:(

no tech support or maintaince :O

if EA supported it could be reborn still my favourite game ;) but your right its dying :'(

Don't give up yet guys, we have to have a fight with EA, before losing the battle.

Where's your fighting spirit ?

If E-mails to EA don't get there let's try the old way and write them some letters !

Why don't we all start a campaign against EA, they might just listen, after all the members of the forum are also customers.

As you know the customer is always right, is there anyone who knows the address of Westwood Studios or the relevant department at EA Games, in California.

Maybe one of our American members can help us out here,

does nobody know a good lawyer, they'll know how to find out ! how to get in touch with EA.

Please don't give up so easily guys.

Finally I just played two count em two 4 players games. ;D :) ;D After that though 2 handskake failed and had to leave but it better than no games at all.

Well is there a corprate office we could call its in california i think and ask them questions about this problem so we know weather to find another way to paly emp or move to another game.

I also played 4 four player games in a row yesterday and 2 four player games today in a short span of time.

Gob i know u mentioned that u might know a guy that works for EA that was part of westwood think u could try to get a hold of him ? plzzzzzzzzz

Yeah Gob, is it Lou Castle that you mean ?

I read an interesting interview with him about him moving to LA.

and about the game servers for EA games.He said that it costs alot of money and resources to maintain the game servers.

So that maybe answers the question as to why the Emp server is so bad.

Reading between the lines of his interview, it seems that EA games want to charge a monthly fee, for playing online games.

I wonder if EA would sort out the server problems if players of EMP were prepared to pay a small fee ? :(
