It was a question if one believes there are Generation gaps. This has turned out to be a discussion of hiarchy. IMO they are both different from one another.

I see it as:

Gob

Everyone else.

Gob has the ultimate power over everything on the board. Other members may have more "power" because Gob trusts their advice, but I don't think Gob would base that on something like titles and positions.

Here's my breakdown of Fed2k society, in ascending order of what their stress levels should be.

Guests (no posts)

Users (infrequent posts)

Addicted users (regular doses of Fed2k, several posts a day)

Editing Team (check the extra board to keep up with what's going on, and make suggestions)

Landsraad (check the extra board, subdue the dutch revolution, maintain an appropriate power balance, and vote in more office equipment once a month)

Moderators (keep order within their board(s), send posts to The Dungeon, keep sending in the bribes (goats are difficult to find nowadays))

Global Mods (keep order within their board(s), send posts to The Dungeon, keep sending in the goats to Gob, IM anyone with oversized sigs or anyone behaving badly across the boards, and play with people's post counts)

Gob (Poor soul has got to keep all the boards maintained and orderly, update the news at anything new that has happened, deal with error messages, IM anyone with oversized sigs or anyone behaving badly across the boards, and/or edit their profile or post count, buy Mahdi new hats, and eat all the goats!)

But the fact is that Gob is never annoyed, so this theory's somehow completely inaccurate.
