No I was not on any drugs when this happend, And I dont think it was a dream either, everything was to...Clear to be a dream it was either a NDE. Or I died and came back somehow.

Well I have had a few heart problems in the past, its genetic..

Well I was laying in bed about at 1:30 last night and I felt a pain in my chest.

I closed my eyes, I thought I was having a heart attack. I Opened my eyes and the pain was gone. I felt Good and healthy I could see and my glasses wernt on. Thats when I noticed something was wrong. My TV was just static and the Digital cable box read 12:36. But I remember watching house on haunted hill(the black and white version) on sci fi and it started at 1.

I looked back at the bead, I was just going to lay back down and let things sort them selfs out. When I noticed my own body laying their eyes closed. Glasses off, jaw slack and slightly open.

I fell to the ground and pushed my self away in shock. You dont see your own corpse every day you know?

My cat walked between me and...me and looked at me.

I couldn't be dead if my cat seen me. She meo's once and brushed her head against my foot like she alwas did when she wanted water. I stood up and by this time i was freaking out.

What the hell was going on?

My door is a little weird, My house was made in the mid 19th century and the doors are the same as when the house was made meaning very old and very hard to open. My door dosnt have a door nob you have to open it with my ID card every time you want it.

My cat just walked to it and pushed it open like it was no big deal.

She walked out and looked back at me.

I fallowed her for about 3 feet when something caught my eye on the middle of the stairs(the middle landing my stairs make a L shape) One man. One women. Their eyes were white, Cloudly and emotionless same with their faces.

The man had brown hair a mustash and a scruffy beard. The women had blond hair to her shoulders nerses cap on and her nails were painted black. They pointed at me and said "Come on Aeryn." I looked back at my door and the cat sliped in the door closing and slamming with a bang behind it.

What the fuck was going on?

I looked towards my mothers door, But it was sealed shut the door handle removed.

I have no choice but to fallow the strange looking people down the stairs.

I ask where are we going? But they dont awnser they stand by my side as we go down the stairs.

The stairs continue winding around the wall, More nurses souround me boxing me in. They all walk in unision making my steps sound out of place.

Thats when the sounds started.

First low chanting in the distance, shaking of beads came next, very gentel but in a constant rytmic fashion that just made me feel even more un easy.

No please! Came next the first cry of many that would come. We started walking faster and faster the ones behind pushing me foword. Till finaly a spymany of screams came defeaning I raised my hands to to my ears to try to stop the sound.

They atacked me then the ones to my sides throwing me down. I managed to hit one in the face with my right hand, didnt seem to faze him at all. They started tearing at my skin and and biting me, I flaied my arms trying to hit them to pull them off or to make them stop. my screaming joined the rest, but they dimmed a bit as one bit my left ear off, the first nurse that i had met on the stairs. I lost sight in a eye as one gouged it with a nail.

I screamed something and they seemed to stop. I dont remember what it was but they stopped momentarily and started again. Growling as they tore into me.

I screamed again and they stopped. The stairs dissapeared behind me leaving me to lay on red charred marble.

I looked up and seen nothing but level after level of winding tortute, demons and for the first time other victims one of them was thrown off the edge about 300 feet up and fell screaming...her back snaping as it landed on a skull.

My earing returned and so did my sight in my left eye.

I sat up and looked behind me.

a large creature, most likly a demon was leading a string of about 20 people some with metel cages on there heads, others with no heads or broken limbs, but he was leading them all by their blood driping intestine and with each drop the floor sizled.

I didnt have time for sorror or time to think.

Hell seemed to miminize the horror into a single door way, with a white one beside it.

Pure relife, I could get out of that "hell hole". I even remember thinking that. I can get out of that "Hell Hole." Ironic isnt it?

I took a step towards the door when in my own voice i heard the only latin i know. I got it for a fic of mine

I discarded it and took another step foward. I heard it again louder.

another step and i was inchs away.

My atheist reasoning finaly kicked it. To easy all of that and you can get out through just walking through a door? No, it had to be a trap. All of that fire and brimstone and teath ghnashing and you can get out through a door?

I took a step back. And another back. The door looked so peacefull..so warm and friendly I wanted to go for it. I could get out of their. why dont i just go through the damn door i asked my self.

Then slowly, I turned back towards hell, And took a step towards it. And another, and another.

TURN BACK! YOU IDIOT! part of me screamed

but i didn't. The first step to avoiding a trap is knowing their is a trap eh? I closed my eyes.

And took a step into the fire.

Instantly the screaming returned and The same creatures were rushing towards me.

I scremaed "Fuck!" And just before they got to me again. I woke up with my cat licking my hand asking for food....

It was either a really fucked up dream, Or I actully died and went to hell...

Your ideas of what happend? theories...questions..anything welcome..

I dont think this was a dream. I never felt pain in a dream, Sorror to the level I did, Anger, Hate, Depression, Hopelessness everything felt, tasted, smelled real.

Nav, please dont insult people and tell them that they are going to hell all the time. It really does not help your cause, I promise.

Anyways, I think that you had a NDE(Near Death Experiance) Some of the things you described sound earily familier to some other peoples definitions of NDE's that have involved Hell. The pain, suffering and torment you felt, was most likely REAL pain, suffering, and torment, not a dream manifestation.

I know that you are refered to your athiest reasoning, but I think that God has allowed you to see what Eternal Torment really means.

Are you doing ok, because like I said, I believe that you have had a NDE, and it seems that many people that have NDE's involving hell are quite shaken when they wake up.

When you woke up, did you still feel the emotions/pain, or was it all gone?

And did you hurt at all when you woke up, did any part of your body ache that is not completely normal.?

A bit of back pain, but besides that I have been feeling alright..been tired latly though. Im alright though.

I was scared as hell though when i woke up, sweating and nearly hit my cat when i woke up, poor kitty. i was shaken up for a hour or two.

I was thinking about it..and if it was hell...Then my cat was death.. It did everything death was suposted to do. It came and got me(nuzzeled my foot to get me to fallow it)

lead me to the other things, and when i turned around it disapeared.. sorta fits dosnt it?

And I am still a atheist just a little shaken one at that..

Sounds to me like you just had a wierd dream. At any rate you should se a doc about that pain in your chest. Perhaps that had something to do with your dream, a variant blood flow producing an unusual unconscious state or something, I don't know. Seriously though, go see a doc, though at your age it was probably just sternum irritation caused by a spasmic pectoralis muscle, even with the family history. Teenagers don't just drop dead of a heart attack...

It could be a weird dream, but how I read it, it was pretty vivid to be a dream, and it DOES sound like many other NDEs I have heard of.

ACE is right tho, you should go see a doc. It could have been a weird dream caused by variant blood flow, but I personally think it was more than that.

On another note, You might want to consider thinking about Sir Sards idea. WHile I know you are an athiest, it could not hurt you to look at some neighborhood churches, especially if it WAS a NDE.

I am not trying to force you to be religious, so dont hate me please, but like i said, you might consider it.

I had some such feelings when I was younger. Sometimes, when I was falling asleep, or just inside a dream, usually some form of a nightmare. I don't know what state it was, but those nightmares made extreme fear inside me, much bigger than in usual ones. I lost my breath and also felt horrible pain, blood pulsed trough my body so quickly I could hear it for next hour. Maybe I was able to create a dream which leads to internal nerve shock. Whole process was more emotional and painful, visual aspect was usually minimal.

In my whole life I fell to this about four times, not more than one per year. Maybe some dream-like fear stimulation or what. Usual nightmares just wake you up and you'll calm down after a minute, so on morning you don't even know what happened. These states are some stronger ones. I wouldn't say it is a show of hell, but it was always similar to me...

Sir Sard, yes I would. Your advice did not address the problem, but rather tried to fix something that wasn't broken.

Ex, I can't assess what happened because I wasn't there, but it does sound like a realistic dream. I've had dreams where it altered my sense of reality when I woke up, and fooled me for a while. The mind is a very powerful thing.

Or humility. It would take a great deal of pride to believe one could save himself from Hell. To turn away from the door, would be to humble yourself, swallow your pride, and return to the horrors knowing what awaited you.

1) Obviously, I don't believe in god or heaven or hell or NDEs or any of that crap.

2) You're only 15, and 15-year-olds don't have heart attacks.

You should go see a doctor. I'm sure he will be able to tell whether you actually had a NDE (i.e. you had a severe heart problem that night) or whether you didn't.

EDIT : What was it that made you think it was a NDE in the first place? I read your story and nothing jumped out at me that would suggest it was anything more than a dream...

Or was it your perception of hell created by your unconscious mind? Literal hell is a mystery to almost anyone, it is mostly conceptual today. It's different for every person. To most it's a bioling inferno with a red devil jabbing you in the ass with a pitchfork. To me it's being trapped in a room with Navaros. Was hell exactly as you would have imagined it, or have heard that it would be like?
