for my own two cents in this even if I am new around here...

There is a difference between "Domesticated" and "Undomesticated" Animals.

I would never eat a dog but if some people want to well... as long as it is not aroud me its cool. I may not like it but there are better things to shoot people over...

Where to start ! Well I've never seen a pig or a cow helping blind people to walk safely along the streets.

I have also never seen a pig save it's owner from a house fire or pull them out of a river.

If a dog is taught properly it doesn't crap everywhere.

Obviously none of you have a dog as a pet.The love they give to their owners is much superior to human kind.

They never question you, they are always pleased to see you.They don't start unecessary wars either, their not racist and like drug sniffer dogs and explosive search dogs they are alot more useful than a cow.

About intelligence, dogs also dig a small hole in the earth to cool down when they are hot.The breeds of dog vary in intelligence levels too.

A jack Russell Terrier or a Border collies for instance, are the most intelligent of dog breed.

they dont eat their pets by the way only dogs bred to eat or ones someone else has bred to eat.

my gran kept rabbits to eat but had one that was pet killed other without blinking an eye but cried like a baby when old flopsy died.

there have been newspaper reports of pet pigs saving lives.

its been proved that ponies make great guide animals for the blind, are far easier to train and better at it than dogs.

personnal i wouldn't dream of eating horse meat.

pigs only mess in one area of sty if given space and dont roll in there crap dogs like all predators do roll in herbivores crap to mask there scent.

I actually meant that only as a joke.

I do support the Police whenever possible, but when they don't even turn up here when a shopkeeper has caught a thief. etc

And the Chief Constable advises people to take the law into their own hands by making citizens arrests, what am I to think.

can you imagine an old lady arresting a junkie !?

yeah some random fella opened an ostrich farm in ireland somewhere, but i actually ate mine in a stir fry in a restaurant in london's chinatown.

i've been living in liverpool for 2 months and i havent been into their chinatown yet. ridiculous.

i heat my house with my barbeque.

Where the hell are you ppl getting the idea that pigs are smarter than gods!?

BTW, statements regarding ponies guiding blind ppl and pigs saving lives are not very credible lol:D

Maybe a long time ago, traditionally domesticated animals were just like dumb cows and the like, but now they have become more sentient(so to speak) and intelligent after living in cities and besides humans for many years.

Maybe it is just by good luck that dogs were considered likeable enough by humans to become freinds instead of food for them and thus have become quit intelligent and this may be unfair to cows and the like that have grown stupid from domestication, but we now have more intelligent or atleast more sentient (in the way that they can interact better with society) than domesticated animals

BTW some dogs are friggin smart. My jack russel is virtually an escape artist. In my old house, we tried spying on him by peeking from curtains and the like so that we could discover how he was escaping from house, but instead of escaping he decided to play the ''waiting game'' with us and escaped as soon as we stopped watching. He also learnt some commands we chose to teach him in a matter of minutes... He even seems to know how to open doors (although he is of course to minute to reach handles), he even knocks on the front door after he has escaped from our house and wishes to be let back in.

Oh and about the dog just standing their as a brick was thrown at him, that's called being to trusting. Even if dogs were extremely stupid, they would still avoid such attack if not for placing to much trust in human nature

On that note, humans must be the most evil species ever... Killing other animals without even eating them because they are not ''worthy enough to be eaten by us''... lol... Killing many animals that don't need to be killed so that we can wear their skin despite having other forms of clothing because we want to show off, killing rhinos because we like their horns, killing many animals unneccarily because we prefer a variety of tastes... Not trying to be a tree-hugger or anything, I actually find such things amusing in their extremeness... Imagine if a superior life-form (perhaps divine in nature) did such things to humans for similar reasons?:D
