Kyle Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 Did you know that the Fedaykin can actually ride the worm? All you need to do is deploy them somewhere in the sand and once they have attracted a worm, they can ride it. This is very helpful especially when the enemy is attacking because the worm can destroy most or all of the enemies' attack forces in one swipe.
ken124578 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 Yup.#3 Did you know that you can call for multiple worms?Train a group of fedaykins, spread them out a bit on the sand and make sure there's no rock nearby. Then press 'D' and you should get a worm inmediatly. Depending on the size of the group you could get 8 worms within seconds.
IxianMace Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 When you deploy a Fedaykin on the sand, that Fedaykin is given a random number of 'ticks' before a worm will emerge. Deploying a higher number of Fedaykin simultaneously will give a higher chance of one of them being assigned a small tick figure until a worm is summoned for that particular Fedayking, meaning you could get at least one worm quite quickly. However, the more Fedaykin you deploy doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a worm faster. In the worst cases, all the Fedaykin could be given large wait times until a worm emerges. ::) The minimum and maximum times to wait until a Fedaykin calls a worm can be seen from the General section in the Rules.txtMinWormRideWaitDelay=100 //min time to start wormrideMaxWormRideWaitDelay=2000 //max time to start wormride
ken124578 Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 Yes, but what says that the amount of ticks given to each fedaykin is random?
Timenn Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 Well, saying that those the time to wait lies between these 2 variables, and that there isnt' any other, likely it is a random time between those 2.For knowing how long a "tick" is. Building a windtrap (with 1 conyard) costs you 240 ticks. There is a thread in Strategy about wormriding strategies:http://www.dune2k.com/forum/?board=17;action=display;threadid=2475

Duncan_ghola Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 yes ive seen worms riding around but i never managed to identify the figure on its back.. could it possibly be a feydakin?
Kyle Posted July 26, 2003 Author Posted July 26, 2003 I just thought it was cool that you could ride the worm. I'm a newbie. Don't be so harsh on me. ;D
Duncan_ghola Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 i dont have a quarrel with newbies i just think its funny when someone posts something obvious
lowzeewee Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 So do I.Read the threads on this board more,Kyle.

lowzeewee Posted July 27, 2003 Posted July 27, 2003 Freds don't ride the worm, it's the worm rider.(Which WAS a Fred...?!%^!)It is the fedaykin himself.
