Bored with fisher plains!!

How about you try a free for all on knife fight.

What do think,I love them.If you havent tried one yet give it ago.But dont forget to put crates on,and even super weapons if you are up to it.It changes the game ;)its great when you get stealth devatior or dev.

I have had games that last up to 30 minutes with all 4 players still in it.The game seems to be more intense with none stop action.

Give it ago you will be surprised how fun it really is.

One last thing make sure you look at the battlefield when you all all done.

Why all those line breaks at the end?

Fishers Plain is a great map for testing all kind of stuff.

But it is boring for normal games.

Just another perfect map for Mino rushers

Well I'm always up for suggestions on what kind of maps people would like to play on. If you're not happy, or you're just bored with the official maps that came with Emperor, you can always make your own, just the way you like it. ;) All you need to do is have the official Emperor map editor installed, and know how to use it.

i am bored with Fishers too, but not because it's a bad map. but because Emp doesn't have enough maps of it's kind. by that i mean, one where pathfinding bugs don't interfere with harvesting very much and hence make the game unfair.

although even on Fishers, these bugs do occur. proof: the base two spots down on the right hand side: harvesting there will always go to the spice just in front of the enemy base below, regardless of where on the rock Refineries are placed or if non-functioning Ref Waypoints are set.

Knife Fight is a newbie map IMO. things are too cramped to make for any real strategy. it can be fun for a game or two once in a blue moon, but for strategists like me, Knife Fight makes for dull, boring, unstrategic newbie-friendly gameplay.

Harvesters do not land in front of enemy's spice fields for KF and yes, KF looks very lame but its good if you want a quick brainless unstrategic victory by rushing n00b enemies with tonnes of cash to spare.

It's really fun for 4 player FFA games too.

Well I`m kinda new to this game,but I`ve noticed that there are 3-4 maps that are comin`up again and again .When I host and choose a diffrent map u can say ,I always,always witout exeptions get the question if I can change map.Funny tho cause there are kinda many maps in EBFD.Have ppl forgotten?Cause there are diffrent strategies at diffrent maps ,or am I totally lost in hollywood(old Rainbow Song)here?

Yeah, im tired of fishers plain. People who use tatics there are old tatics, so i am very liking crunch at the mo, maybe some worm garden aswell.

Not really... It all depends on who gets the inf rock. And if you get it and don't take advantage of it minos are gonna munch all your inf. If anything the map is IMO biased towards hark, who get ground superiority from the word "go".

Well, I make my own maps. The only problem is that I can't really play on them online, since it's very unlikely that I'll meet someone on WOL that happens to have the same fan made map(s) as I do and want to play on them as well. :P

But other than Knife Fight and Fisher's Plain,aren't there almost 15-20 other maps you can play on?And about 12 or more in which 3 players can fit in?

i would still rather play fishers plain than any other 4 player map even though ive gotten bored of it, id like to play in one of that one guys maps... maciej skurpa? the guy who made spice volcano, those maps look tempting

Like what Ixianmace said,normally people won't bother downloading them.especially newbies,unlike in Warcraft 3 where the map is uploaded onto the game database for other people,regardless of whether they have the map,to play on it.

Worm garden is also quite fun especially with living world on. ;D
