I finally got my certificate! :D

As some may have known I did exams this year, and that was the last I had to do for school.

The rule to graduate is the following:

You may only have 2 unsatisfactory marks (and not too low)

I already had 2 of them, French and German (Not that I hate those languages, it's just the way they were taught)

So it was kinda hard for me, because I had to do everything well. I got 6 exams: Greek, Dutch, Chemics, English, Math, and Physics (on VWO (highest level))

When I got my results, I heard that I had to retry Greek, because that didn't turned out well, while the rest was good. But in the mean while, my school set up a procedure to let on subject replace the other one (KCV for CKV (Dutch will understand those, they are both art subjects) Because then I could drop Greek, and so my unsatisfactory mark. (Normally, you are obligated to do CKV, but not when you do Greek (or Latin) because then you must do the subject KCV)

The second result phone call wasn't so positive too. I had failed my retry for Greek. So the only thing that remained as hope was that the school would succeed in that procedure, but the exam commitee had to agree with that.

So I did not get a certificate at the official certificate presentation. But I had to one last assignment to do to complete that other subject.

Monday morning I finished it, and handed it over to school. And they would check it and call me if it was satisfactory.

But when they called me this afternoon (GMT+1) I heard that the assignment was good AND that I could collect my certificate tommorrow. (There was a big chance that I would have to wait till the holidays ended, IF the procedure worked)

So that means I still get my certificate (without Greek on it)

That's why I'm very very happy today, and I just wanted to say that. :)

(The reason the procedure had a chance, is because next year it is no problem to switch those 2 subjects)

(No doubt that some will not understand my story, but I must say it is kinda difficult, what matters is that I will get my certificate, and that I can go to the university next year)

Yep, it's the end-of-year-finals. And not just for this schoolyear but to end this level of education. With this level Timenn can, and will go to a university here in Holland.
