  1. I'm not aware of such a problem/bug. What was the problem exactly? I do know about a crash with multiplayer and Saboteurs, but the person hasn't or wasn't able to reproduce it. So I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the patch.
  2. I will look at it, but I'm rather busy these weeks and I'm not sure if I can fix it, so I can't make any promises. You are free to ask me again in February.
  3. Got carried away in making another Dune 2000 Steam Grid View Banner:
  4. Yes, they are stuck to the left. Score screen is also stuck to the left. I tried to fix it, but I don't know where to look and I don't find it that important, because the actual gameplay works in high resolution. Here is a quick try at a steam grid view banner:
  5. Adriano, are the buttons readable on the image below? It looks like a very small and bad font. Whoever did this Russian version did not take the time to align the text on the Starport button.
  6. I tried Russian, but it did not work great for me because Dune 2000 or Windows does not have the special characters. So I got unreadable stuff. What I did was, replace text.uib in /data/UI_DATA/ folder with a different language (renamed it to text.uib first) and then just placed UI_RUS.R16 in /data/ folder (you could also add UI_RUS.R8 for 8bit mode). Keep in mind that you can only do this on vanilla (no patched to high resolution) Dune 2000 version or else you get bad battle screen controls. I haven't tested if you can run high resolution patch after changing language, I think it might work.
  7. Yeah, I meant turret, sorry for that. Original game does not have that feature, but, if I'm not mistaken, OpenD2k is not meant to be an exact copy so you can ignore the previous comment.
  8. Just a small thing, but the loop on the tanks in the Dune 2000 image are "broken off". :)
  9. I believe you need a certain amount of posts before you can post attachments, perhaps just one post so you could try again now. To use the patch, make sure that: - You put the whole patch in a folder inside the Dune 2000 main folder (contains the exe). See this: http://forum.dune2k.com/topic/19636-dune2k-high-resolution/page-28#entry384335 - You have Dune 2000 patched to version 1.06. - You use a no-cd version, since the patcher can't edit files on a CD. - Like this: http://forum.dune2k.com/topic/19636-dune2k-high-resolution/?p=384351 (I believe 2b is not even needed) You can also try Gruntlords Dune 2000 version: http://gruntmods.com/Projects/Downloads/Dune_2000/
  10. Could you upload images to the forum or videos showing what is new (or what is different in your mod in comparison to vanilla D2k)?
  11. Yes, please see if you can fit in a saboteur attack with a multiplayer game and if you get the same error. I currently don't know what the error means, but maybe I can figure something out with IDA (checking error strings in semi-disassembled code). Fixing it is part two, which might even be more difficult. Of course I can always just try to disable the error message, but that is just fixing symptoms and not the real cause.
  12. I once looked at that, but there are so many choices. Some require way too much extra data to be shipped with the patch and others can't really do what I want from a decent GUI. Unless you got a good idea with some strong arguments to why a GUI would be more beneficial, besides looks, I'm going to keep at this command line.
  13. Thank you for this nice tool. Small feature request is to be able to "Export All" or "Export selected".
  14. No, it's not needed any more (for me at least).
  15. Thanks, that did work. And also rather nicely (all files in one go).
  16. Is there someone who wants to convert all the .aud files to .wav and upload them in a zip? I can't convert .aud to .wav because of 64bit Windows.
  17. If a new Dune movie (trilogy) would come out and it's a big hit, they might get interested.
  18. - After replacing a sprite, the source sprite is not closed. The file cannot be adjusted until the resource editor is closed. - A list of previous opened resource files would be nice. Drag and drop perhaps also? Just something to make the process of previous used sprites/locations faster. - House mask is not exportable and/or editable? - The replace sprite preview window confuses me. It shows unclear (zoomed in) images and no real differences between the last two. - What does the 'Alignment' value stand for? - What does the frame height/width? How is this used in the game? I don't see any change. With entry 19 (in DATA.R16) the shown frame does not correspond with the image, but do have the same size. Also changing the frame size has only visible effect in the editor after going to a different entry. - What does 'First Value' do? Changing first value makes re-opening the .R16 file impossible. - What is the palette handle good for? Changing it does no good. - For example entry 27 in DATA.R16 says embedded palette, yet the same kinda images (entries 28 and so) show referenced palette. Is that correct? - How can I know and/or link the animations (like building lights blinking or fire when damaged) with the correct building? Also, what determines what image goes over which one? Like bottom and top of factory? - Exporting a sprite, doing nothing and importing/replacing the same sprite messes up the house colours (house mask). Example of entry 2767 of DATA.R16 (note the Smugglers brown colour is not even):
  19. I can actually not open the database, I only have free IDA. Can you adjust it so I can open it or?
  20. Wow, that are a lot. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I disabled all mouse cursor effects, but it still crashes.
  22. Start a Kickstarter campaign! One million dollar in pre-sales/support might convince EA, he.
  23. You can try mailing them, but I'm afraid it won't reach the right person. Perhaps a real postcard to EA headquarters has more effect, ha. Also EA has it's own digital distribution network (Origin), they don't sell that much (certainly no revived old games) on Steam.
  24. Gunpoint Magicka * FTL Trine 2 * Rayman Origins * Portal 2 * * I like local co-op games.
  25. Whut? Oh, yeah, it's kinda of a cheap fix to just make the too small maps, for a certain high resolution, bigger to prevent a game crash, but it works. Fixing this in the game engine might be difficult, especially since there is no error message.
